We hired KNT Electric to remove knob and tube from our home, to add additional outlets, and to move/install light fixtures. The KNT team was fantastic. They delivered on our Agreement and provided exceptional service. The KNT team was professional, clean, and friendly. They are the gold standard in electrical service. I recommend them without hesitation (and have to our neighbours already)!

KNT electric were a professional and transparent company. They were quick to respond to my inquiry and actually ended up charging me less than was initially quoted. They were in constant communication with me, so I knew exactly when the work would be done and left my place untouched. KNT replaced a major cable to my secondary electric box which involved running it up 2 floors and from the front to the back of my 100+ year old house. All of their guys were professional, pleasant, competent and punctual. They did an amazing job of not making much mess and repairing the few holes that they needed to make.

I recently purchased an older house (built in 1946) that had K&T. My wife and I had just under 2 weeks to get the house rewired and painted prior to moving in. Bill & Tim knew of our tight timelines and sent extra workers in order to get the job done on time. Not only did they replace all the Knob and Tube, they also replaced light fixtures (at no cost) and installed pot lights throughout the house at reasonable cost. I was updated on a daily basis on their progress and if I had questions they were extremely responsive unlike other contractors we've dealt with in the past. The house looks great, and I'm so glad we made the decision to hire K&T Electric. I can assure you, you won't go wrong with these guys. Special shout out to Danny and Tony for all their great work.

After learning I needed a sump pump installed, i knew my electrical panel had no additional room left to add any more circuits for 2 dedicated receptacles for the new sump pump and back up sump pump. I called my electrician and found he retired. He advised me to check the ESA website and check the box ACP as he recommended I chose an ACP certified electrician for my future needs. I found a couple of ACP electricians in my neighbourhood and received estimates in a timely fashion. KNT Electric's estimate was lower and I chose them. The estimate was very detailed, listing the cost of the individual work and parts line by line. The work was able to be started in a short time which I appreciated. Ken, the electrician assigned to my work, came when promised. He was hard working, reliable and kind. The work (new exterior mast and wiring, meter moved to the exterior, new electrical panel and breakers, removal of old separate main, air conditioning panel with screw in type fuses and sub panel, 2 additional dedicated receptacles, new ground wires for gas and water lines, relocation of 110 volt and 220 volt clothes dryer receptacles) was completed in a few visits. I met Tim, the owner on a couple of occasions and had contact with him over the phone and via email. I found Tim to be easily available and responded to any questions I had in a very timely manner with thoroughness. I trust Tim, Bill and the workers employed by them and would not hesitate to contact them for any future electrical needs.

I needed to replace the pot lights on the first floor and fix 2 electrical outlets (one outdoors). Bill and Tim came over within 48 hours after I first contacted them, they inspected the work that needed to be done, found a problem I did not know about and a few hours later, we had arranged an appointment by email. The work was done very professionally and quickly 2 opening days later. The material was charged at cost. I am very happy with the result.

This summer I had a run of bad luck with renovations which I think qualifies me to recognize a great company when I am lucky enough to find them. KNT rewired my entire three storey, 100 year old house. It is a lengthy, dusty job and the people who worked on my house were amazing. They took every precaution to keep the house as clean as possible and they were respectful of my opinion when we discussed positioning of outlets and switches. Without asking, they provided me with a circuit map. In addition, the team’s integrity was above reproach in that they did not make work by re-wiring anything that wasn’t necessary. In a house of this vintage and size some wiring will be “new”. They were scrupulously honest about what needed to be re-wired and what was okay to leave as is. Bill and company rewired our house last October (2017). We were very satisfied with the work done. Communication was excellent. Work was done quickly and on time. The team took care to keep the impact of the rewiring to a minimum.
