Burl-Oak Landscaping transformed our front and back yard over a two year period. They did our front yard in 2011 and the back yard was completed the following summer, 2012. The front work consisted of: Driveway, entrance walkway and front door step paving as well as front garden landscaping alongside the pathway. The backyard consisted of: Complete garden redesign and landscaping, paving along the side of the house to under our deck including a paving area for a future gazebo site. They recommended a landscape designer to design the entire gardens for us (front and back). This cost a bit extra, but was totally worth the extra cost. Every last detail was designed for us, no need to worry about a thing! The service we received from Burl-Oak (Louay and his team) was fantastic. The work was completed as requested and on time. Along the way, as we wanted to make small changes, Louay was always there to talk with us and implement the new ideas we had. The value of our home has increased substantially due to the extensive work done, the look of our home is totally transformed. The thing that we appreciated most about Burl-Oak was the way Louay interacted with us. He always answers his phone, was always available to talk with us about our plans/changes/concerns, very professional, friendly and polite! The after sales service has also been great. We called Louay about a few plants that we were concerned about. He came over to answer all our questions and address our concerns, sometimes when one works with a contractor of some sort, they seem to just disappear after the work is completed. Not the case with Burl-Oak, they came over to check on the work, see how everything was looking and attend to one or two details. Overall, we are very satisfied and would make use of Burl-Oak's services again.

Our walkways and driveway were dated and needed replacement. The front walkway now curves, with retaining walls. Each capstone was individually cut and inter-locking stones trimmed to fit. The side entrance to the house needed a retaining wall and a sloping inter-lock ramp. Matching edging down the sides of the driveway added a nice finish. The completed work is pleasing to the eye while giving us much needed functionality. When the job was finished, the working area was left very clean. Lou'ay and team were very professional, providing creative design, meticulous workmanship. Lou'ay ensured the subcontractor met the same standards when surfacing the drive. Many neighbours have looked at the improvements and are very complimentary about the results. We would definitely recommend Burl-Oak Landscaping to all potential customers.

Burl-Oak completed a large patio and Interlocking walkway for our corner lot home which has added curb appeal to our home! Burl-Oak was very competitive in their pricing and detailed in the assessment and quotation. Zaid and Lou'ay were very professional and ethical to work with. They made some recommendations during the project which was implemented and the result was great. We have received several wonderful compliments on our new patio and walkway! They delivered on their promise on workmanship and results! We would recommend Bur-Oak to friends and family and certainly use their services again. Thank you Ziad and Lou'ray (Burl-Oak)!!!

I called a few companies for quotes regarding this job, but Lou'ay appeared to be the most professional and thorough in giving me an estimate. He was happy to explain all the details and guide me through my choices and options. He was then able to fit me in into his busy schedule (this was somewhat last minute). His crew came and were, just as Lou'ay, very professional and courteous. The job was done faster than I expected and more importantly to my 110% satisfaction. Excellent work and excellent, personal service!

We needed an extension of our driveway into the backyard. There was some urgency for us, since the current state was a big mud pile. We contacted several companies off of HomeStars, and only Lou'ay was willing to find a way to accomodate us on short notice - and boy, were we grateful. We only had a vague idea what we wanted, but Lou'ay designed something for us that met our needs (utilitarian, cost effective, adds value to the home) AND looks beautiful. His team did a great job, asked my input whenever it was appropriate, but mostly worked under their own direction. We will definitely be asking them to do more work for us in the Spring. I am pleased to report that our recently waterproofed basement has remained dry and warm. The rainy weather from hurricane Sandy had no impact whatsoever! I thank Burl-Oak Landscaping for their work on waterproofing our basement. I am extremely relieved to know that the problems we have been facing with our wet basement have been fixed. We recently moved into our new but old Victorian semi-detached house in Little Italy and knew we had a wet basement to deal with. We received a few quotes and made the decision to use Burl-Oak along with our neighbour who we share a common walk with. Our decision was not only based on price (approximately 15K) but the honest professionalism that was evident when we met with Lou’ay. They completed the work efficiently and effectively. I highly recommend them.

I contacted Burl-Oak Landscaping to do some regular yard work due to reviews on Homestars. Lou'ay is very friendly and personable. He explained the service in detail, and did an inspection to tell us an exact rate. We were generally very happy with the service. There were a couple of things we felt were not attended to, or not communicated properly to us, but when I addressed my concerns to Lou'ay, he immediately took care of them to our satisfaction. I love my new patio! Lu'ay was quick and professional and didn't require any supervision. I barely knew what I wanted, but he asked all the right questions and helped me make the right decisions. I can tell that he's willing to work with someone who comes with a plan or just as much with someone without. The job was done professionally and it looks professional. We hired Burl oak landscaping to completely remove the old pathway which was made of concrete and stones, and rebuild a new pathway leading to the backyard, with 2 steps to the front door. They did a wonderful job and it was really quick too. Lou'ay and Ziad were excellent, if we had a concern, they fixed it quickly and without hesitation. I would highly recommend them to anyone. We hired Burl-Oak landscaping to install interlocking and landscape our front lawn. They were reasonably priced, professional and courteous, and exceeded our expectations. Our front lawn looks great now. We are very happy with the job and will have them back to work on our back yard in the spring.
