Reply created 27 Feb 2017Doug Design Turf thanks you for the extra effort you made to post your very nice review of our work performed last week on your front yard. We have thousands of very happy customers and it would be great if more of them we aware of "Homestars".
Reply created 23 Sep 2014Dan from North York Yes we did visit and look at the golf green over 5 weeks ago and unfortunately you were not at home. I very clearly remember our initial discussions about the placement of the green in your yard and it was our strong recommendation as it is for all of our installations to start with a flat and level surface. From there we typically put in some undulations and or break. We have been installing golf greens now for over 15 years and can assure you for all certainty that we have not installed any other golf green in such a manner but we obliged in this instance at your insistence of the site location of green. We suggested that we could tier the green but at the end of the day this area was so sloped that you would not get the typical use that one normally would. The corrective procedures after the full installation is complete is nothing short of onerous. We would need to remove the green surface completely and if Dan is still sold on the heavily sloped part of the yard there would be no alternative but to incorporate retaining walls to hold in place the necessary amount of aggregates. This of course would be a costly endeavor but we would be pleased to provide a free estimate should Dan contemplate the same. Dan let us know and it would be something we could get complete before the full onslaught of winter.
