I needed a home inspection done in less then 48 hours. Luckily, I found Shawn and he was available in less then 24hrs notice. He arrived early for the appointment, was very professional and very knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection of the home I purchased and provided a 90 page document that also included photos. What more could I ask for? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shawn to others or use him again for future home inspections. Money well spent!!! Thanks Shawn.

A job well done! As first time home buyers we were super nervous about the biggest purchase of our lives.  Shawn was more than a home inspector he became a source of sound judgement and guidance as he discovered each home's idiosyncrasies.  Shawn's thoroughness and attention to detail helped to stear us in the right direction on more than one occasion.  He was always early to appointments and able to accommodate the sometimes tight deadlines associated with home purchases.   I particularly enjoyed that we were able to participate in the inspection with him - learning as he went.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Shawn to anyone seeking to purchase real estate.  The money that we spent on home inspections during our buying process has paid ten-fold - what we learned/what we avoided purchasing.  Shawn helped us to get good value for our money and ensured that we went into our purchase with our eyes wide open.  We can't thank him enough!

Shawn was very through and knowledgeable. He was quick to spot any inssues and was very easy to communicate with before during and after the inspection. His report was very detailed and it lead to me saving a few thousand on unsuspected repairs after the purchase. I will recommmend him to all my acquatances for their home inspection needs.

This is the first time we used a Home Inspector and after shopping around found his price competitive. However more importantly he took his time, explained everything in plain English and used his engineering background to substantiate his findings.

Hi there, I had to get 2 home inspections in rapid succession. I had Shawn Janes do both inspections. He was unknown to me or my realtor at the time. First impressions are important and he was there 30 minutes early already up on the roof and checking things out. I have purchased homes before and have NEVER seen an inspector get up on the roof without being asked. He was efficient and thorough on both houses. What's even better is that he wrote up a report and inserted photographs of the problems he found along with a red circle around the home damage in the picture to make sure that you knew where the problem area was. Overall, Shawn from Clarified Home inspections was tops in my book. 11/10. Above and beyond the call of duty!

Shawn gave us a good list of items to beware of, with a clear explanation in the report of their relative seriousness. Even gave a cost estimator for suggested repairs. Willing to answer all questions, and flexible enough for our appointment times. He was very, very helpful in our purchase decision and we are very glad we hired him.
