Hi Ali. Thanks for your review! Old cracked concrete patio, rocky and rolling brown lawn sloping toward the house, pooling water. The backyard didn’t do justice to the beautiful home you purchased last summer. So glad we could transform it soon enough for your family to still have plenty of good weather to enjoy it. It was certainly an intense and transformational five weeks for your property, involving the installation of approximately 2,000 square feet of interlocking pavers, 100 tons of Armour Stone, 8 tons of mega flag natural stone steps, 1,000 rolls of sod, mature trees and other soft landscaping on the property, as well as drainage (weeping tiles). Yes, the time constraints were challenging, but we were absolutely determined that we would leave your property with a full two-week window to spare for the installation of your asphalt driveway to occur prior to the wedding. Hi Pierre. We always strive to push the edge of the envelope for maximum design impact within clients’ budget constraints. Where possible, we suggest alternatives for even greater impact made possible by reducing costs in other project areas. At no time, however, can quality or safety be compromised! It was a pleasure to work with you and Helene. Your project was particularly dramatic because so many homeowners face the same frustration: they’re living with a builders concrete entrance porch that can’t easily be replaced because it’s tied into the structure of the house. We were able to achieve big impact quite easily and cost-effectively by cladding your concrete porch with square-cut flagstone, and replacing the detached concrete steps with beautiful Silver Valley Natural Stone flanked by two three-foot pillars. With the addition of two garden walls, four Armour Stones and an interlocking paver walkway, voila, your lovely home’s facelift was complete! Thank you for your very kind review! Hard to believe that it’s already been seven years since our first project for you and Mike in 2009 when we installed interlock pavers and wall stones at the front of your property (steps, porch, walkway, garden wall, full driveway) and at the side of the house. Ordinarily, we would not have taken on your daughter’s project because it was located in west Toronto, well outside our service area of Pickering, Ajax, Oshawa and east/southeast Scarborough (West Rouge, Port Union, Guildwood, etc.).
