Mike from Easy Flip just left my home and he was amazing. Our garage door fell onto our car about a month ago. We were able to drive the car back in quickly but the car was stuck with the door in the midway position. After a few days, we were able to push the door back up to get the car out but the cable on the garage door broke and the lowest panel was bent.
The contractor who is doing work for our neighbour had his garage door take a look and they gave us a quote for $400. Our friend's garage door repairman friend said we'd need the cable and the last panel replaced. While we were waiting for an appointment with either one, a cat took up residence in our garage so I gave up and looked on homestars last night.
I left a message at 10pm. Grace called me back this morning but I was out. I called her when I got home, she was pleasant and efficient. She said she'd have someone over in 30 minutes and she did. Mike came. He was pleasant and respectful.
Nothing needed to be replaced. He rewound the existing cable and straightened the last panel. He told me why he thought the door was misaligned and gave me 2 options, we could replace the plastic wheels for $78 or we could spray the wheels regularly to ensure it worked well. We chose the free option i.e. grease the wheels. He tested the door very thoroughly before leaving.
I always hate dealing with contractors but this was the hands down best service I've ever received. At the very least, I'm sure someone else would have tried to convince me that the wheels had to be replaced for $78.
I would use and recommend them with no reservation at all. I'm now a homestar convert.
