Mr Swirl - Very disappointed and would not recommend. Originally charged over $350 for 1.75 hrs work, $162 in parts and a travel charge (apparently for volatile fuel prices??) of $29....totalling after tax over $600. After my wife paid (I was at the office) I called to discuss and learned I had been overcharged on parts by $110 (only a 200%+ mistake) and for my trouble the labour bill was dropped by $80 (so generously dropping the calculated hourly rate from $200/hr to $155/hr. Please check out my photo of what can be done in 1.75hrs..... My conclusion (possibly uninformed as I am not a plumber)...they either charge way too much or have less than skilled staff that take a long time.....either way I HAVE PAID FOR IT! I really hope the very expensive bypass works. Buyer Beware....According to the Govt of Canada website when the govt hired a plumber in 2011 they paid about $25/hr for wages...looks like Mr. Swirl either has a great deal of overhead or the government only hires the incompetent plumbers I guess. Get multiple quotes if you can (sometimes time can be of the essence and this isn't feasible)....Hopefully you can learn from my mistake. Funny thing is I believe these guys really think they did me a favour dropping the bill.....given they overcharged for parts in the first place...how is that? The $80 labour refund? Seriously $155/hr is doing me a favour?? Either I'm totally out to lunch on what stuff costs or I got the shaft.

They called me as they were enroute. They arrived in the time frame that they promised. My plumber was Sean and he was very easy going, polite and professional. His notes had said that the new toilet would be here. I said that I had made arrangements for them to pick up the toilet. In the past, a trades person may have been annoyed by this, but not Sean. He said "No problem, I'll go and pick it up now." He was very neat. Again, my experience in the past has not always been this way. Later on, I heard some running water in the toilet, so I called them to find out how to make an adjustment. They said that they would send Sean back instead. He arrived and was only too happy to take care of this for me. From my first contact on the phone with them, to finish, they were all so pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend them! Daniel attended and provided excellent diagnostic/repair. Solved the problem and was very quick and efficient. Also replaced my fawcett in kitchen - most helpful. I would most definitely recommend Mr. Swirl for future problems - as well as to friends and family.

Water was coming into our crawl space when it rained heavily after a very dry summer. Mr. Swirl diagnosed plugged Big-O pipe. They were quick to send out a crew to do the work. Although it was raining quite a lot during the work, they managed to keep it reasonably clean under the circumstances. Hopefully this will solve the problem! Our contact for the work was Dean Northcott and he was very pleasant and easy to deal with.

Update: the faucet wasn't attached properly; am making call today for this to be fixed. Daniel came over shortly after the expected timeframe (I called at 8am, was told to expect service within the hour, and he arrived ~ 9:20). He promptly diagnosed the issue, referred one sticking point to his supervisor (whether or not to turn hot water off to the building, briefly), shopped for parts, fixed the valve and faucet all under 2 hours. The website offers a $22 off coupon which helped alleviate some expense. Service was prompt, clean, professional, and courteous. Estimate provide prior to commencement. Labour has warranty guaranteed for 6 months. Yes, I would use them again/recommend them to others who want to pay for worry-free service and get the job done quickly.

Daniel came and was very helpful. Checking all connections and pipes for me and lots of helpful advice. He also helped me with another drain free of charge. I was very impressed.

Water pressure in my home progressively got less and less. I called Mr. Swirl and Daniel came and fixed it. He was prompt and professional and got the job done!! Thanks Daniel. You are the best!!

Telephone work up was pleasant, date of service was quick and on time. Daniel installed toilet and was pleasant and professional. Will call again for second replacement that will be needed in the near future.
