    Updated ADT System is Terrible

    After 25 years with ADT with no problems. Their rep convinced us to upgrade to the new system. It cost us $540 plus our monthly cost went up by 30% but the new system is garbage since installation we have had at least 8 service calls for malfunctions. Instead of peace of mind we have a system that is constantly giving us grief.. While travelling we get worrisome messages that the system is not functioning properly. I would not recommend this system.

    Terrible Service, Takes No Responsibility

    Our family has been an ADT customer for more than 25 years. About 4 years ago, I decided to have an ADT flood detector installed in our laundry room. I paid extra for ADT to start monitoring my home in case of a flood, which I thought was worth it for the “sense of security”. I believed that ADT had my family’s back and that we were being protected. Unfortunately, I was very wrong about this. In September 2018, we came home from a 4-day trip and discovered our laundry room was half flooded. Our water softener broke and water had flooded the area. Even though the water was half a foot deep in certain areas, I was surprised to find the water did not even touch the sensor! From this flood, we lost family photos, files, and $2,000 deductible. Due to the flood, our insurance company decided to increase our home insurance. The $2000 is replaceable, but our family photos are not. Once again, I thought ADT would have my family’s back, but I was so wrong. After the repairs were done from the flood, ADT came to my house and installed one extra sensor and called it a day. I asked ADT to pay for the $2,000 in damage, but they rejected my request. I explained to them that their sensor was improperly placed by their technician, which is obvious because the flood water did not touch the sensor. If the sensor was properly placed, it would have notified ADT of the flood immediately and we could have reduced the damage. After multiple attempts to ask ADT to fairly compensate us for the damage and inconvenience, all they came back with was $250 credit and $10 off/month. The catch was I had to complete the rest of our 3 year contract. In fact, even though I don’t trust their services anymore, I’m forced to complete my contract with them! I paid for flood monitoring service, and ADT not only did not properly install their sensor, but they did not take on any responsibility for their mistake. All I asked was for a $2,000 compensation for the damage that was done by a flood that their sensor did not detect! Where is the accountability here? I have turned down ADT’s unfair offer and decided I need to tell my story to other consumers.

    STAY AWAY! WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD! EVIL!

    stay away from them, i have never seen such an unprofessional staff and incompetent service in my life. They should be sued on how poor they operate and treat their customers. I have been trying to solve my issue with them for like 5 months now, they keep on making false promises and I am returning to square zero every phone call. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I HAVE DEALT WITH the organization so fraud at its core.

    Unbelievably incompetent

    We originally signed up with VOXCOM 13 years ago, who were purchased by Reliance Protectron who were then purchased by ADT. Reliance was pretty bad, but ADT has to employ some of the most inept people I have ever seen. In the last 12 months we have had at least 8 visits for one simple sensor. They send techs without the right parts, techs that don't know how to install the parts, and contractors who don't even have access to the ticket history to be able to fix or understand the issue before they arrive. Even though our issues have been escalated to the Branch manager in Calgary, we continue to run into problems over and over again. And this is just one issue, there have been others too! I would not recommend ADT to my worst enemy.

    Re: Don't waste your time

    We contracted ADT Security Services to install an alarm system for our company. It has been nothing short of a disaster. Constant missed appointments, they are disorganized, unapologetic for their errors. I wouldn't recommend this company.

    Customer Service

    Worst experience ever. Unreliable and irresponsible service. Even for urgent matters you have to wait on line for at least 30 minutes. And because ADT was not able to pick up my phone call within a few minutes as stated clearly to me the police was dispatched. When you tried to explain no one at ADT cares to take any responsibility. I have been with ADT for almost 10 years and they will not consider your loyalty if something goes wrong. I decided to leave this company. Even your alarm goes off now you will be asked to press 1 then 2 then ....... and wait forever. Think twice if you want professional and timely service.

    Do NOT trust this company IT IS A NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH

    We signed up with protectron for a two year contract and they told me that we could move during no problem. So we moved 6 months later, ADT charged us $500 to move our equipment and then without any contracts signed etc renewed our monitoring contract for 5 YEARS!!!!!!!!! I only discovered this after calling to see about removing one portion of my rate plan. I have spoken to representatives 4 TIMES. First time they said that when you move you automatically consent to new contract!!!! BEWARE!!! The tech that moved my equipment 3 blocks did not tell me that!!!!! I did not sign a new contract!!!!!!! The second call they agreed to change my contract to 36 months from move date. The BEST they could do. Well that was 3 months ago, and I am on call #4 asking why it has not been changed. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM ABOUT NO HASSLE MOVES DO NOT BELIEVE THEY WILL HONOUR THE CONTRACT DATES KEEP YOUR CONTRACTS BECAUSE IF YOU LOSE THE ORIGINAL THERE IS NO END>>>> IT IS LIKE A NIGHTMARE> WE CAN NEVER MOVE AGAIN WITHOUT THIS FOLLOWING US FOR 5 MORE YEARS AND 5 MORE YEARS and 5 MORE YEARS.

    security system

    Just bought new home called few alarm companies after call several n checking reviews adt is the company I decided to go with , the price is fair got the pulse camera system and live monitoring , the installation took a few hours had a weeks waiting time before I could get it installed , customer service is really great with any questions you may have .. pulse system can be a bit frustrating at first with the text n email notification settings my dog kept setting it off and emails were constant but once you manage the settings the system works great

    ADT Pulse Secuirty System

    Doug Cass was my ADT service representative and our experience with him was awesome. Prompt service, extremely knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended and commend him on his efforts and workmanship. He even offered his personal phone number had we encounter any issues in the future. The service with ADT and the product is also excellent. The price is very reasonable considering the amount of functions the system offers. The cameras that were provided are of very high quality. Set up time was very fast and the run through on the system was explained very thoroughly by Doug. We are now life time ADT customers for sure.

    security stystem

    Just had ADT install a security system. The job was quick and efficient and they took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable company.
