    Windows and Patio Door

    They replaced 1 patio door and 9 windows (2 solid, 2 awning and 5 casement).  The windows are decent quality for the price and I appreciate that the company capped the garage door frame and window at no extra charge. Installation was completed in 1 day and on schedule.  There was a defect with the insulation inside the patio doors and eventually the manufacturer replaced the whole door. My major disappointment would be the workmanship - the attached photos tell the story. When I mentioned to the installation crew that I didn't like the sloppy finish of the frames, I was told that:  "it's not a big deal since they all need to be painted anyway".   I spent a lot of time sanding the frames to remove smeared foam and smooth out dents. I had to also apply caulking around the windows and patio door; some were caulked on 2 sides, others 3 but none were done all around. I regret not taking photos immediately after installation to show the mess left behind. I found caulking inside sinks and stamped into wood floors by boots. It took a lot of time and much elbow grease to get caulking out of the hardwood floors. Like other reviewers noted - I too had to resort to using different phone numbers to get through. I recommend communicating via e-mail only.

    Installer dropped old window and damaged my floor due to lack of proper protective clothing and communications

    I had new windows installed from eco choice on November 19. During the installation, one of the workers dropped the old window down while carrying it down the stairs. He was carrying the glass alone and wearing just socks without any protective shoes. Thankfully no one was near the stairs but someone could’ve gotten hurt. The installer hurt himself on the foot because he was only wearing socks when carrying the glass. When I mentioned he should’ve worn shoes they say it won’t matter because they’re wearing normal sneakers instead of protecting footwear, again the job clearly has risk for foot injury, not giving workers protective footwear is very dangerous. and this leads to the worker injury in this scenario. The glass also damaged my floor and stairs. Because of the injury to one the workers, the other worker had to finish the job by himself which takes a long time. On top of that, they didn’t properly clean the area after, which I understand this is because 1 worker had to do the job by himself but I expect the company to maybe send an extra person to help. On top of all of this, I didn’t get a single apology about the glass/damage. I also emailed eco choice regarding my experience but didn’t receive a reply. My previous communication before the windows were installed was fast and responsive, seems like they don’t care anymore after getting the payment.

    New Custom Built Door

    The service I received was amazing from beginning to end. Eco Choice had a lot of high quality doors and designs to choose from. I was given a sound quote with no hidden fees. The installer was fantastic, quick, polite, good natured and cleaned up 100%. My door was installed yesterday and I am sure that I will be as happy about the door in the months and years to come as I am today!

    Front door replacement

    The project: replacement of the front door. From the moment I contacted this company until the completion of the project, everyone was very professional and courteous. Terry, with whom I dealt with for the quote, was very prompt in addressing all my questions and concerns before even committing to the project. Adriana from the office, was very helpful in scheduling the installation according to our needs, since we don't live at the house in Waterloo. The installers came on time, were very polite and left a clean job site. All in all, I am very happy with the whole experience and I definitely recommend them.

    Window installation

    I have an older home. Had new windows installed. From start with the sales rep to the final installation a positive experience. Very courteous professional installers that did a great tidy up job on completion and kept the mess to a minimum while doing the install. They laid down work sheets throughout I have already recommended them to my daughter.

    Full house windows

    Great Great company. I highly recommend Eco Choice windows and doors. Job was completed in a timely manner. Installers we very courteous, cleaned up the site. Thank you so much for doing such an incredible job. We as 1000 percent happy with this company.

    Windows and doors

    We replaced patio French doors with a new sliding door and replaced a window as well. Alex from Eco-Choice Windows and Doors was very professional and went above and beyond to do an excellent job for us. Our experience with Eco-Choice was a positive one and we will definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

    Delay

    Great product and initial service. When all is said and done, we'll have waited 3 1/2 months to get a replacement pane of glass for the door. COVID, yes, but that doesn't excuse the several-week lack of meaningful communication.

    Window & Patio Door Replacement

    Having received several other quotes we decided on Eco Choice primarily because of the costs. However, we were very pleased with the professionalism by the sales team during the quoting process and this also helped us with the decision. The installation team was VERY courteous, professional and generally concerned with ensuring that we were going to be FULLY satisfied. The team was meticulous with making sure to keep things neat and tidy and did a thorough job of cleaning up the entire area of the project. We are VERY happy with the quality and service that we have received and look forward to using Eco Choice with the next stage of our home updates.

    Nice product, terrible customer service

    The experience of dealing with this company has been very frustrating, start to finish. I wouldn't recommend. We had them replace ALL of our windows and doors, and spent close to $30,000 with them. Considering this investment, we had hoped for a better experience Our order was placed in November. Estimated install was February. The final install didn't take place until OCTOBER. We had boarded-up windows for several months. They had four separate measurements completed by their staff, and still made errors on several windows. This resulted in new orders being placed and more delays. They installed the first round of windows but didn't bring screens for another 6+ weeks (resulting in screenless windows in the middle of summer). Response time to call us back on questions we had was very delayed - sometimes we waited over a week for a callback. There were several instances where my husband called with his phone and nobody picked up, however when I called immediately after with a different phone #, they answered right away (no proof of wrongdoing necessarily, just an odd coincidence). Positives: Product is amazing (however they don't actually make the product, they just distribute and install it). They gave us a $500 discount on one window where they measured incorrectly, and we had to remove brick and reframe the window (when you're spending $30,000, $500 is a pretty small discount). They replaced a panel of glass in a door that was broken and only charged us for labor.
