    New shingles

    Reid’s roofing was very thorough from the office staff that took my call and quoted me to their installers who were friendly and courteous working around my family. Even though there was a delay due to snow the office staff were great at communicating with me when they would show up and get the work started. I would use them again and highly recommend.

    Roof repair

    When we had our roof done by a different company years ago, large gaps were left where the pine shakes thickness was no longer filled by the asphalt shingles. After my daughter heard birds nesting over her bedroom last year we realized it was time to do something about fixing these gaps. When my husband called around in the spring most roofing companies wouldn't even book an appointment for us and our smaller job. Reid's Roofing did. Tamara was a pleasure to talk to with when booking appointments/discussing costs/etc. When Pete came out to deal with our issues, he was punctual, professional, timely, and went above and beyond with fixing our roof (noticing more than the original issue and dealing with them all). Given the slope of our property and roof, this included Pete renting a lift to complete the work. The completed work looks great. Every person I have interacted with at Reid's Roofing has been a pleasure to deal with, and the work that as done went above my expectation, for, what I believe, was a reasonable cost. I would have no problems recommending Reid's Roofing for any roofing needs.

    Roof repair

    I had a handful of shingles blow off the leading edge of my roof in the big wind storm we had a few months back. Reid's was quick to come out for an estimate and actually fit me in to an opening they had earlier than my scheduled repair time to perform the repair. Work was done in a timely manner and the site was left clean. The one thing I would caution though is they do charge a $150 "diagnostic fee" for coming out and quoting a price that does not come off your charges if you decide to proceed with work (I did not ask if that was the case before hand). They are upfront about the charge but depending on the size of the job it can be exorbitant. The estimators visit was about 1/2 hr. He spent about a minute on the roof, about 4-5 minutes explaining the repair and the remainder of his time was spent trying to up sell me on additional work and service packages. As mentioned they are upfront about the charge but I was disappointed that I was basically paying them for a sales call. I understand that estimates take time, fuel etc and often doesn't lead to actually getting the work so I have no problem with a fee (and obviously agreed to it) but the amount of the fee for my particular job in comparison to the amount of time the estimator spent doing the estimate didn't seem to be proportional in my mind. On a large roofing job it would be reasonable, for my job it was 1/3 the cost of my entire repair (repair was $550) and the estimating part literally took no more than 5 or 6 minutes so the cost didn't seem to match with the amount of time spent doing the estimate. For a large job where measuring etc was required it would be reasonable.

I appreciate you sharing your concerns with other homeowners and would like to address each and everyone of those. Our diagnostics charge is fairly common in a lot of different trades. Weather that is roofing, heating and plumbing a service charge is standard. The fact the visit consisted of 5-6 mins looking at the roof is a good sign that it was a simple shingle repair not something more extensive. The repair price includes material and labor. The Sales pitch you speak of is a membership we offer that takes care of not only the roof but your home building envelope. It would have saved you a discount of $200 off your $550 repair. To each their own as it was not for you. We truly appreciate your business, Reid's Roofing.

    Siding replacement

    Called one company but was told job was too small and not worth it. Called Reid’s roofing Thursday and installer was out Monday and the siding was replaced. We had our bbq melt some spots. The colour match and workmanship was outstanding!! Highly recommend Reid’s roofing not just for roof replacement (had ours done two years ago) but for siding work as well!!!

    Peak vent installation

    Good workmanship, staff aimed to please. Extra care taken to ensure quality work completed. Efficient payment processing. Workers cleaned up site nicely after the job was completed. Workers friendly and interreacted nicely with home owner.

    Wind damage soffit repair, garage roof, insulation top-up

    We have used Reids for 3 different services over the last year and they have been great! Prompt, courteous, great clean-up, quality work and workers. Would highly recommend. Negotiated fairly on an estimate error.

    Roof repair

    There was a leak in one of our windows which was coming from the roof. We called Reid's Roofing for an estimate and were shown the problem on an infrared camera - condensation in the attic travelling along a beam from the furnace stack to the window. The problem appeared to be only in the one area. The day of the repair, the crew arrived promptly in the morning, cut a hole in the roof, removed the wet wood, insulation and vapour barrier. Spray foam was applied to the affected area and then the roof was fixed - with new sheathing and an SBS patch to close the hole. We were shown photos and videos of the process so that we could see the water damage, the removal of the affected material, and the installation of the new material. The process was completed quickly - one day, plus an hour the next to finish. The invoice was the same as the estimate; there were no additional costs. We are very happy with the work and the cost was reasonable. We would have no hesitation hiring Reid's Roofing if there were other problems.

    Roof repair - shingle replacement

    Lost several shingles in a recent wind storm. Reid's responded quickly, acknowledged how busy they were but provided an outline of timelines and met each of them. Repair was done professionally even in the midst of very inclement weather. Definitely will utilize them for any future roofing needs.

    Eavestrough replacement

    When we moved into our new place, we had Reid's Roofing replace all of our eavestroughs. They did a quick job for a good price and fixed all the issues of water overflowing by installing additional downspouts, including one that drains above our front walkway. They pinned it to our archway and even created a downspout that we could lift up and down so we could mow the lawn without issue. They did this without even asking, as I didn't even know it was something I could ask for! I called them again about heat loss through the attic. They did a quick assessment using google maps and told me there was no work necessary and that our heat loss was normal. I was so glad to have an honest opinion from a company and that they didn't charge me for an ultimately unnecessary visit. Also, the office staff are very kind, friendly and return calls right away. I will always call Reid's Roofing if I need any roofing work done.

    Great roof repair
