Review from Customer of Aire One (Aire One) Heating & Cooling Review left on 19 Jan 2017Rating: 1 out of 5Stay away from these guys. Had a useless technician come out to try and diagnose my pressure switch on my furnace. Completely clueless, didn't have the right equipment (testers/readers/etc.) and only babbling nonsense. Stay away! Go with some other guys that are real furnace techs. Funny that this company responds by saying there's is no technician by the name of Benny, however, homestars wouldn't publish my comment without a receipt/proof. So there you have it. I've dragged Aireone's name through the mud for $99+tax. Thanks for the horrible service.Review from HN HN

Looked up BBB, saw no complaints, thought it's an OK business. That's a mistake! Like all salesmen do, Salesman at Mississauga office bragged about their professional technicians. Long story short, their "pro" drilled through my main drainage pipe. to fix this they cut it off, modified the system (lousily, wished I am able to post the pictures)....and it leaked after they left. He came back and almost broke the pipe with the pipe clamp and left all the debris on the floor. Feb 10,2017 Saw the response from the company Air1 Heating and Cooling, for which I mistaken for AirOne Heating&Cooling which in fact is the company my review is about. My sincere apology to Air1 Heating & Cooling.Answer from pro:

Review left on 24 Dec 2016Rating: 0 out of 5Had to kick agitated, angry service worker out of house
The whole interaction with Aire One began on Oct 15. We paid $150 for an Aire One technician to service our furnace (including a gas pressure check). After servicing the furnace, the Aire One technician told us we needed new venter motor, humidifier and duct cleaning. Originally we received a quote for $1500 for these 3 things, and duct cleaning alone would cost $450. The price was negotiated to $1350, after I explained I could get someone to clean our ducts for $150 less. On Oct 29, the technician came and installed the new motor and humidifier but told me the duct cleaning would be done "some other time." I paid the full $1350 amount, then I called and scheduled the duct cleaning for Nov 14. Before the duct cleaning was completed, we smelled gas. The gas company technician told us Aire One's servicing of the furnace was not sufficient, and they would have to come back and re-check the gas pressure. I called Aire One and was told if all that required was the SAME thing that was done on Oct 15, we would not be charged. When the technician came to the house, he was there to correct incomplete work that had already been paid for. I was not able to be at the house at this time, so my wife welcomed the technician. When I was finally able to call my wife and see what was going on, she mentioned we were being charged $100 to check the gas pressure. I explained we were not supposed to pay for this because it was already done on Oct 15, and not done properly. At that point, the technician was already expecting to be paid $100. When he heard me explain what happened on speaker phone, the technician began yelling at my wife, slamming the furnace door, raising his voice and continued to argue. He became increasingly agitated and irritable, and was yelling at my wife. He continued in this way, and was asked to leave the house. After several complaints and calls to Aire One, with unsatisfactory results, we decided to ask for a refund for the duct cleaning, as it was never done. Resisting at first, and not until head office got involved, we received a $200 discount. Even though this meant we would have to pay more money for another duct clean, it was worth it to deny Aire One any more business. I would not recommend this company to anyone.Review from Alice Raynard Alice Raynard

We had to change quickly our furnace over the long weekend. Consultant listened to our needs, and we got much quieter furnace and AC (60% less noisy) that were both no longer under warranty. Price was decent. Hopefully, product and service will be same quality.Review from Customer of Aire One (Aire One) Heating & Cooling Customer of Aire One (Aire One) Heating & Cooling

I called Aire One to service a brand new ductless AC (that we installed ourselves). When I was talking to the receptionist I explained that we installed this unit ourselves and that I need an HVAC technician to test it for leaks and remove the air from the pipes. The receptionist told me that I need to schedule a diagnostic first so I booked an appointment. The technician inspected our AC and told me that we did a good job installing it and everything was done up to code. He then gave me a quote for work that still needed to be done and told me to go ahead and call the office to schedule the service appointment. He also charged me for the diagnostic. 10 minutes after leaving my house he called me and told me that their office refuses to service my AC because we installed it ourselves. So why did they tell me to schedule the diagnostic when they knew that they will not service my AC? If they told me that the first time, I would not have agreed to do the diagnostic. Instead they wasted my time and money and at the end I did not receive any service from them.Answer from pro:
Thanks Customer purchased equipment from Aire one and decided to install it by themself. This type of equipment requires to be instalked by factory trained , licenced Techniciancs and obiviously may not function if installed by unathorised people like yourself. Aire one guaranties equipment that is installed by our factory trained , licensed technicians only. We will be happy to re-install your equipment ( for a fee) so it would function properly just like 120,000 other home owners that trusted us to install or service their equipment . We do not take responsibility on eqipment that is installed by un authorised , in-experienced indivisuals. The equipments is not faulty but installation seems to be. Aire One

Aire One replaced our furnace and AC with smaller units (the wrong capacity for our house), with poor installation quality, and failed to diagnose the reason behind the inadequate heating and cooling in the upper floor. It took us over a year of phone calls, complaints, and technicians (from Carrier) coming in and out of our home before Aire One agreed to replace ONLY the furnace with the right size unit. We still have their smaller AC and we are suffering unbearable hot nights despite paying thousands on the "upgraded newer" AC. We never had this problem with the older and replaced units.Review from Customer of Aire One (Aire One) Heating & Cooling Customer of Aire One (Aire One) Heating & Cooling

Review left on 4 Sep 2016Rating: 5 out of 5AC and Furnace installation
This summer my AC broke and I had to install the AC and I decided to upgrade the Furnace as well, so I contacted multiple contractors and got their quotes for both AC and Furnace. The price that Aireone quoted was quite competitive and PJ, the sales guy of this company did provide all the info and explained the differences between different models and brands and he also explained the rebates that I will receive. After studying Aireone's customer reviews and my brother had also installed the Furnace and AC from this company and he also gave positive feedback about the company; so I decided to go with them. The installers from Aireone were very professional and came on time. I have a finished basement so they could not install new pipes to old location of the AC unit outside and they suggested that using the old pipes can be risky and could leak in the future and recommended me to let them move the outside AC unit closer to Furnace room so that they can install new pipes. I thought this recommendation shows that they really cared about providing the best experience to customer. Regarding the rebates, the rebates check arrived much before the tentative expected date that they gave me. My AC installation was done couple of months back and I waited this long to put the review here, so that I will enough time to judge their installation. I very happy with Carrier 16 SEER AC that they installed and the Winter will test out the Furnace.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 26 Aug 2016Rating: 1 out of 5Dropped the ball, jacked the price, didn't seem to want us as customers.
We've been using Aire One for our regular HVAC needs for 9 years, and we've always been pleased. They installed a gas line for a natural gas BBQ at our first home, so we called them when we moved and needed a gas line put in at our new home. We has a service call for HVAC tuneup at the new house and to have the gas line done. We were surprised then, when the service tech told us we had to call the head office to get a quote for the BBQ line -- that's exactly what we asked for when we booked the appointment in the first place. So, we called back and were surprised to hear they couldn't book us until over a month away. We reluctantly agreed to wait them out, as the quote was reasonable and we knew the summer was a busy time for them. Then, the day before the appointment, we got a call from the head office asking us to confirm the nature of the work as it had been "entered wrong" in the computer system, and then got a second call later that same day (less than 24 hours before the appointment) saying they couldn't honour the appointment because the installer assigned to the job didn't have the parts required. They wanted to reschedule for the week after, which was significantly inconvenient for us. They weren't ready for an appointment that had been on the books for over a month and they wanted us to accommodate them. Then they dropped the bomb that they'd be charging 3 times the original quote. A $250 job suddenly became a $750 job! When I asked why, they said the job would require 2 people instead of 1 and would take all day -- which didn't in any way explain why they'd given a much lower (and more reasonable) quote a month earlier, or what details they had now that they didn't have earlier in order to give that quote. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was gone for the day. So I asked them to have the manager call me first thing in the morning. He did not. When I called back the day before the rescheduled appointment to ask why the manager hadn't called me back, they only seemed interested in knowing whether I'd be keeping the appointment or not. No mention of the manager speaking to us at all. Needless to say, Aire One has lost years worth of future HVAC servicing work from us and we won't be recommending them.Answer from pro:
