    Hardie board siding and windows

    Excellent job replacing our dated vinyl siding with Hardie board. Helpful from quoting through completion. Work started on the exact date promised and siding crew did a great job with close attention to detail and clear pride in the quality of the work. Windows were removed and installed in one day and they are well insulated and draft free. Highly recommended contractor.

    New roof

    Very competitive bid but what sold us was the time taken to explain cost and product options. Work was performed by a very professional and courteous team. On time, budget and schedule. We love our new roof!

    Roof replacement

    Our house was built back in 2001 so the roof naturally needed to be replaced. Several recent hail storms actually took out numerous shingle tiles so the need became more urgent. We reached out to West Quality Construction and they immediately responded to our request. Francois took the time to meet in person and even helped to identify issues with ventilation from the attic as a source of extra wear on the shingle tiles. He gave us three very reasonable quotes, which included replacing the aging and ineffective roof vent along with the shingle replacement. Once we agreed on the package, they came out and were able to promptly finish the job within a single day. The end result was excellent and we are very happy with it. Thank you for a job well done!

    Exterior siding in Hardy Board

    The craftsmanship was excellent! We live our new hardy board! Overall a great job on the house/end product. The owners are very conscientious and trustworthy in their business. I would recommend them! A few issues were rectified promptly, Francois and Valerie are very personable and were accessible to discuss any issues. My only constructive comment is with the clarity/process of communication. This could be laid out more clearly to clients, in terms of dealing with an out-sourced crewing. Dealing direct with crew on-site eliminates confusion with the details of a job, but it can be a challenge when one is not sure information has been passed on. Having said that, the crew on the house were very conscientious, polite and talented craftsmen! (In general, Many good companies, understandably now, use outsourced crews and it is common, just be aware that there exists a triangle when managing the process.)

    Two projects: attic repair and re-siding of exterior

    To summarize WQCs work: “professional, high quality, efficient “. I met Francois and Valerie at the Calgary Home show. I was impressed with both their product and them as business owners. Francois quoted the jobs within a few days of my inquiry. The quotes were similar to the other contractors, higher on some items and lower on others. But I hired WQC because there were the only company that could do both jobs. I did not want to coordinate my limited time with two separate contractors. They did the job quickly and professionally. It looks fabulous!

    Roof

    The crew was very friendly and kept the property clean during the entire project. There was a misunderstanding on placement of one of the vents, after a brief conversation I said not to worry about; the crew proceeded to fix it anyways and I am so happy they did as it looks much better. Great to see a company just do the right thing!

    Roof vent installation and gutter replacement

    You get what you pay for! They have been a pleasure to work with and I’m glad we chose them. I’ve already referred them to my neighbor a few houses down from my place.

    Roof replacement

    Initially, we were only looking to have the eaves repaired on one side of the house - but Francois and his team correctly diagnosed that our roof was facing more major issues that would quickly lead to serious problems. Our old tar and gravel roof was beginning to split at the peak (my layman’s explanation!) and it wouldn’t have been long before massive problems followed. Francois gave us a quote, and we sought out two others: his was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive. We felt he dealt with us fairly and personably, taking the time to answer any and all questions. He explained exactly what was to be done and why, and was very transparent — something that made us feel comfortable moving ahead. His team worked efficiently to get the job done and was very courteous. We were very impressed by the updates and the candor of Francois, who let us know everything that was happening and even completed the project early as the weather allowed. Replacing a roof is never a welcome bill, but we were pleased with the work and very happy with how we were treated throughout the entire process.

    Skylight Renovation

    West Quality replaced our leaking 15 year-old skylight in December 2018. The new skylight and the interface between it and the existing roofing meshes perfectly. This is our second time using West Quality for an exterior project and we can highly recommend them to others. Very happy with the prompt and friendly service, price, workmanship, and after-job cleanup.
