    Flat roof replacement

    Nick from The Roof Whisperer came to inspect our flat roof closely, measure up, and was very thorough in his explanation of what he could do for us, and how they would carry out the replacement work. The estimate was detailed and the work was done very well. There were some unexpected details uncovered when the work took place, and the cost was actually adjusted down accordingly, we were very happy with this. It took a few phone calls back and forth to get hold of the company to schedule a time for the work to be carried out, a little longer than I had hoped for, but I suppose that is the reality of the industry. Also there were a few coffee cups left on the roof after the 'clean-up'. However, overall we were very satisfied and would recommend The Roof Whisperer.

    new top roof

    This company was prompt, efficient and fair. They did a good job. We had 4 days of rain between the start and the finish but everything went well. When Ilir came to do the estimate he went on the roof and that made a difference. The other quote we had was based on a eye-balled description and some variables but no roof examination. With Roof Whisperers our estimate was our cost. There were no surprises. Great cleanup and great service. Happy to recommend them.

    Flat roof and skylights

    Ilhr and his crew were professional, clean, and did an excellent job replacing the flat roof (that I later found out was over 20 years old). It was leaking before, and now I am confident it will last for many years to come. They are certified Velux installers and build curbs for 2 skylights on the flat roof which look and perform really well! They also closed up my roof vents and sealed the ridge vent and very closely matched the existing shingles (I no longer need vents since I had my roof spray foamed). These guys are pros and I would recommend them to everyone!

    New Roof and Velux skylights

    Arthur understood my needs right away. He also recommended to fix the chimney although this is not his line of work. He has the interest of the client at heart. He treats his employees very well and his employees deliver quality work to the clients. They are hard workers, well organized, skilled and did an excellent job. I received 3 quotes for the job and he was in the middle. He is very honest and reliable. I would recommend his firm any day.

    Flat roof and peaked roof replacement

    Ratings: Service – excellent, friendly, thorough. Roof- excellent. Clean-up of job site: excellent. Cost – I believe I received good value for the quality. We have a century-old detached home off the Danforth, flat roof for most of it with a peaked area at the front of the house. Our flat roof was 13-year-old tar and paper, and was bubbling in several areas. We were noticing some water coming in on the main floor due to our eavestrough overflowing in heavy storms and the water finding its way in through the brickwork around the second floor window. We had The Roof Whisperer look at our roof in summer 2013 and arranged installation to be done in September. When Arthur initially came out to look at our roof, I went up with him and he pointed out bubbling and areas where it was vulnerable to leaking. He also had some suggestions about resloping our eavestrough. On another part of the roof, rainwater was draining directly off the roof, where there was no eaves, and that may have contributed to water seeping into our basement. He said they could reslope the roof for better drainage. He recommended removing our old roof so that they could do it right, with insulation, etc. His crew did all these things as promised, and even handled an unexpected complication – instability of our chimney, repairing its base – while maintaining their initial quoted price for the job. This was a very thorough job –removal, installation, underlayment, drip edge, etc. and it looks built to last. We had no water issues with a recent, big rainfall, so it has already been worthwhile.

    Changing of Roof Shingles, Eavestrough and Downsprout

    Being new to Toronto, I contacted The Roof Whisperer and other roofing companies to replace our shingles/eavestrough. The Roof Whisperer was prompt in providing a quote. When we awarded them the job, their installation and customer service were second to none too. Our new roof and skylights took to the heavy storm very well and our eavestroughs and downsprouts are working properly. A big thank you to Arthur, Erlis and Jean.

    Roof Repair

    I called The Roof Whisperer among a couple of companies on Homestars and they were the first to respond. They didn't want any money before they looked at my roof like another one did. My roof was damaged by raccoons and I worried about leaks and them possibly coming back to move in. Arthur came over the next day, investigated the roof damage and quoted a repair and roof tune-up work. Caulking needed replacing, nails had popped and 16 shingles were needed for repairs. The following day the repairs were expertly made with the matching shingles and my roof is intact again.

    Roof repair

    I needed my roof repaired as I had a leak after a major rainstorm. Iler came within the time that he said and gave me a thorough understanding of what the repair would entail. His team of 3 showed up on time and we're done well before I thought they would. Everything was cleaned up and the job looked great.

    Removal of chimney stack and addition of bathroom ventilation

    The house that we bought required two roofing jobs for which we hired The Roof Whisperer. First, there was wood-burning fireplace in the basement that we removed. We hired The Roof Whisperer to remove the metal pipe that ran through the roof and patch up the open section. Second, the bathroom had no ventilation besides the window. We installed a fan and hired The Roof Whisperer to install the necessary ventilation in the roof to which our HVAC contractor eventually attached the fan. The Roof Whisper was prompt and completed the job quickly and thoroughly. We're happy.

    3rd Storey Roof Repair

    I contacted six roofing companies for a quote to repair my leaking roof. All six companies came highly recommended from Homestars. Of the six, only three would deal with a third storey roof repair. Of these three, only The Roof Whisperer returned my call promptly without the need for a follow up call, and attended my home to inspect the third storey roof and provide a quote on the agreed upon day and time. (The other two companies, despite follow up calls and promises to call me back to arrange a visit and quote, never did.) The Roof Whisperer quickly provided me with a detailed quote and explained the work required. I was impressed with their professionalism and their interest in doing the job, so I hired them. They were available on the day that I asked them to be (Labour Day Monday!) and they performed the work efficiently and carefully. They showed me "before" pictures of my damaged roof shingles, along with "after" pictures of the flat roof they placed over my third floor dormer to make it waterproof. They cleaned up beautifully and then sent me a receipt that detailed all of the work they performed adn the materials they used, including links to the web sites for each product. There is nothing more I could have asked for. I will recommend The Roof Whisperer to friends and family, and will use them again in the future. They were superb!
