    Partial roofing and patches in East York

    The Roof Whisperers was a recommendation from a friend of ours that used to be a roofer. Communication with Ilir was great - insisted on coming by for the quote when I was home so he would be able to walk on the roof to accurately estimate what the Cadillac of jobs would look like... and what the minimal viable product would be - specificing how much material would need to be used, at what cost, and where relevant, potential discounts (for example, if the boards were not rotted, it would cost us less for labour to dispose) He also said he would be onsite for the entire duration of the re-roofing. The roof had about 3 and a half layers of shingles, including the original cedar shingles! Additionally, as our house has mansoor sides that will hold up for a while longer, his advice was to leave it for the time being - we really appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell. Ilir and his team was booking about 2 months out, so we decided to wait. Ilir and team arrived at about 7:30 in the morning to start setting up. They took the roof right down to the boards, installed new boards, roof ridge venting, shingles, and patched our flat roof all in one day. True to word, Ilir was there for the entire 13 hour duration- staying longer to finish off the final touches as he was concerned of rainfall the next day. He also sent me the pictures of the whole process the next day on whatsapp. The only feedback I have is that the office staff is a little confusing, as it seemed like I was dealing with multiple people - however, the moment I said my address, they knew exactly who I was, so it really didn't affect the work-flow. It's been a rainy summer, but so far, so good!

    Leaking roof

    arthur and the guys at the roof whisperer never fail to amaze us. we had some roof issues from when we bought our home new in 2011. they are very reliable trustworthy and take pride in there work

    Roof, eavestroughs and drainpipes

    My roof is an exceptionally difficult one. It’s a variation on gambrel and impossible to get to from the sides. The first roofing company I signed with got to the job only to decide it was too hard for them and they walked away! Two others spent a great deal of time telling me how impossible it was. The best decision I made was when I hired The Roof Whisperer. They looked at the situation, priced it and though it was as difficult for them as for the others, simply got on with their work. They always did what they said they would, phoned when they couldn’t come (rain) and were open and honest. I appreciated the way they explained everything to me without condescending to me. All the workmen were polite and pleasant to have around. Once they started working - which was exactly when they said they’d start - I stopped worrying. Though I do know nothing, my neighbours do and they assure me that their workmanship is excellent. The price was more than fair and less than the original estimate. And they delivered!!

    Emergency repair

    Roof damaged in storm needed immediate repair. Contacted that evening and they had someone there the next day. Quick and easy. Corrected other minor issue without additional charge. Worker was polite and knowledgeable.

    Repair around stack and "tune up"

    The repair around the stack has been fine, but only when I had another issue did I realise that these guys did not do what they said they would, and charged me anyway. How could I? As it turns out, there was a leak around my roof vents recently, and it was an obvious problem to the company that ended up fixing it. This should have been caught when I had the stack issue repaired since I was charged for "a Roof Tune Up" - "(seal if needed all metal flashing(s), the roof vent(s), vent pipe stack(s), exposed nails)." There are better companies out there that do not charge an outrageous minimum, and are more conscientious than these folks were.

    Excellent Work

    It was a pleasure to work with The Roof Whisperer. They provided a detailed assessment of the work required, they were very knowledgable, and they were very professional. The job was done quickly, they were well organized and worked in a tidy fashion. No nails were found around my house after the new roof was completed. Amazing!

    Skylight installation and Shingle replacement

    We purchased the house in Nov 2016 the roof is only 4 years old. We noticed some shingles falling off in Feb. We were planning on adding some skylights and thought may as well look into it and have an expert assess the shingles. Arthur came out and checked out our roof. We were very impressed with Arthurs knowlege. We had the work done within a week. So Pleased. Thank You !!

    Fantastic job on our Skylight!

    One cold day in February 2016, we noticed the Skylight in our kitchen was cracking -- and it looked like it was going to split open. We were recommended by a friend to call The Roof Whisperer, so we did. So glad we did! Arthur came over right away and eased our fears. He quoted for a new skylight (way better one!), we approved the cost, and bingo, it was done. Never mind him and his team worked in the freezing cold, they just got to work. Totally professional job; Arthur is wonderful to work with and we couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend The Roof Whisperer!

    New Roof/Skylight

    Ilir and his team were fantastic to deal with. Both professional and experienced. Very knowledgeable about the products used and explained everything to me in great detail. The roof is probably the most important area of the house, if you're spending tens of thousand on interior renovations, you'll want to ensure a solid roofing system to protect you from water damage. I would highly recommend the Roof Whisperer to anyone considering a new roof or skylight. Their expertise is evident in the quality of the work provided.

    Eaves cleaning

    We've used this company third time for this season. As always, very happy with the service. Team is professional and on time. Clearly explained us the recommendations regarding any repair work that may be needed. Will definitely use them again.
