I needed my asbestos siding removed and replaced with vinyl siding. Russell and Serge came on time, worked effeciently and had the job done quickly. There quote was way lower then the other quotes I got. My siding looks fantastic. These two men were a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't hesitate in using them again!

When some of our siding blew off during a storm, we contacted a number of companies for a quote. Russell and Sergey were one of a few that returned our inquiry. Since the sidings were old and did not have insulation behind it, we decided to replace them with insulation and new siding. Russell and Sergey did a great job. We agreed to a time frame (weather permitting) and it was done in a timely manner. The price was competitive.

I do not know much about eaves and downs but i knew the ones I have were in bad shape especially last year when I saw rain water coming out from the middle of the eaves and they looked warped and were rusted. I saw the ratings and reviews they have here at HomeStars and called them right away. Both Serge and Russell were courteous, answered all my questions and responded fast either by phone or by e mail. They improved the poor designs and repositioned my downs effectively. They cleaned up after which was nice. I definitely will use them again in the future when the need arises and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends or family. Thanks for a job well done!

The top section of our back exterior wall where the brick and siding meet was in need of some attention as it was joined with concrete that was cracking / allowing water in! I contacted 3 aluminum companies and 1 mason. 1 aluminum company said it wouldn't be a straightforward job so wouldn't touch it and the other only looked at email pictures and offered to slap some aluminum on. Russell and Serge came to the home to thoroughly look over the area and develop a plan. They emailed a written quote that night and when I had a question, they called me right away to explain things. I had a mason also take a look at the trouble area and he recommended that I go with Serge and Russell's plan - so I did! They arrived on time, removed the cracking concrete, built a new wooden frame along the corner, insulated it and covered the whole in aluminum from top to bottom. They also did some free work on my eavestrough and provided a new downspout for a reasonable price. They cleaned up after themselves and were overall a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Home Exterior solved poor eaves-trough (gutter) and down-pipe design. Russell and his colleague are very professional, innovative and accommodating to our request. They follow-up many months after work is done to ensure we continue to be satisfied with the solution they provided – this is very impressive; we have never experience such after-sales follow-up with any contractor of any other work thus far. Problem: poor drainage of rain and snow from the roof. Continuously present puddle in the eaves-trough plus debris causing weed growing in the eaves-trough. Home exterior diagnosed the problem quickly and explained the scope of remedy work clearly to us: Firstly, the original (25 plus year old), builder-provided eaves-trough had wrong slope causing over-flow in summer and large icy area in winter which would have damaged our new deck. Secondly, the number of down-pipes was insufficient for the size and slope of the roof (we had three, we needed six) and their locations were not optimal. Thirdly, the way in which the eaves-trough was attached to house made it susceptible to damage. They accommodated our request to modify to location of the down-pipes from their original design. For example, they brought a down-pipe underneath the deck out to near trees. For this they removed some deck boards carefully and re-installed them. Other contractors said they would not accommodate. We had Christmas light permanently attached to the original eaves-trough. Russell indicated those will have to be removed. We requested they re-install the light. Again they accommodated while the other contractors said they cannot help us with this. They also installed Alurex leaf-guard. Even though there is more expensive option (another product) in the market they recommended this product explaining the reasons Alurex is suitable for us – very professionally and thoroughly. We had contacted two other contractors with high rating in Homestar and Russell’s quote was very competitive (not the cheapest). They were puncutal, efficient and cleaned up after the work was done.

We had problems with a leaking eaves trough above our front walkway. This guys are amazing ! Excellent work done in a short period of time. Thanks a lot !!! We would highly recommend them to everybody.

We found Home Exterior Aluminum on this site and contacted them for a quote. Right from the first visit, Russel and Serge were very professional and we selected them for the work. They provided us with colour samples and even stopped by additional times with more samples as it took me a while to chose the colour for the house. They arrived on the scheduled date and returned each day until the job was finished. They even did some extra work that we weren't expecting. They came back and cleaned up the entire area and checked that we were satisfied with the work before they left. We are very pleased with the work and would definitely recommend them to our friends.

This is the second time we went ahead and asked for Home Exterior Aluminum’s help. In front of our house there is a bay window. When we bought the house we painted the bay window, but after two years the paint started to peel off and we needed something new. In the winter the room that had that window was much cooler than any other room in our house. Serge and Russel recommended to install insulation and siding. Now our window looks brand new and finally we don’t have to worry about maintenance. They offered us a vast amount of different colours of siding to choose from. The job was done professionally and really fast, they were friendly and polite. If anyone has the same problem I strongly recommended that you go ahead and call Home Exterior Aluminum, they will do a great job.

We have had a problem with a leaking eavestrough for a number of years. It was particularly dangerous as it was in a spot above our front walkway, frequently creating a frozen pond or wading pool depending on the season. Despite spending a fair amount on various patches with different companies, the problem always returned. We had hoped that the solution would be to raise it up and slope back towards the drainpipe and invited a number of companies, all highly rated on Homestars, to come and quote on this project. As others have mentioned, several companies do not even bother to return their messages and of those who came, some claimed that they could do this repair but despite the fees that they wanted, could not really guarantee that it would work. The cost to replace it varied quite significantly. Russell and Sergey were the first company to actually open the drainpipe, see that it was clogged with leaves and try to solve the problem that way, quite simply and before even being hired/paid. Although this did partially alleviate the back-up, the leak would have persisted and they were very honest saying they could not stand behind a simple repair as it would be unlikely to be effective. For a very competitive price, they were able to install a brand new eavestrough and downpipe. This team was very responsive from the initial contact, keeping in touch regarding when they would come for the estimate and then the actual work, which they were able to schedule and complete within just a few days of the estimate. They also very kindly did a few other touch-ups as an extra and special bonus, which was greatly appreciated. Russell and Sergey are very nice professionals, who were easy to talk with, dependable and skilled at their work. I highly recommend them.
