Eitan and his team delivered a great backyard for us at our new home. As some have experienced, renovations can have a lot more challenges than expected. Working with a group that takes on problems with you and quickly brings solutions is refreshing and makes the whole experience far less stressful. I rarely refer contractors to friends, I have done so already with M.E. Thanks Eitan, the family loves the back yard.

After seeing the work of M.E. Contracting elsewhere, my partner and I decided that they would be the ones to complete an ambitious outdoor renovation to our home which we recently acquired. This was a project that grew in scope from the initial discussion, but every addition was for the right reason, and the end result is stunning. The project began with a desire to replace a deteriorating fence and deck. We wanted a solid new pressure treated fence with 6x6 posts and horizontal slats. We wanted lighting and LED lights on the fence were installed, on a timer. We replaced all of the previous landscaping, with thirty black cedar trees 8 feet tall. (Twenty were originally proposed, but we saw that more trees would look even better). An automated irrigation system was installed that would keep the trees happily watered. We asked for a new deck design, larger than the previous deck and wanted some form of pergola. Eitan designed a stunning deck composed of PVC with tempered glass railings and aluminum posts along with a unique wrought iron pergola, painted black with frosted tempered glass. This was an engineering and installation marvel. It is bold, modern, and beautifully elegant. During the early course of our renovations it was discovered coincidentally during our indoor renovations that our basement was subject to moisture and mold problems due to grading problems on one side of the house. We contracted with M.E. to complete an exterior remediation with waterproofing which was completed promptly and efficiently prior to the fence completion. The grading problem was corrected and new interlock stone was installed on one side of the house. At the front of the house, we needed to replace the front steps which were deteriorating. Sal and his landscaping team installed beautiful flagstone which will now last for years. Eitan also designed upon request, a pergola for the front entrance, composed of similar materials to the rear pergola. A clear sloped tempered glass top was similarly installed. It looks gorgeous. Additional front landscaping was also completed to complete the work. M.E. Contracting uses highest quality crews. Sal was in charge of the landscaping project, the waterproofing, flagstone work, demolition work and was simply amazing to work with. This was a big, complicated project and he handled it all and professionally. Shimon and his crew did the unique and challenging pergola work. Pictures tell a beautiful story. The fence and deck crew completed beautiful, modern structures that will last for many worry free years. Brenda and Keren from the home office are a pleasure to work with. I thank them for helping make it easy. Eitan is wonderful with his design, planning and implementation. This big project was completed in reasonable time given its scope. I have no hesitation fully endorsing M.E. Contracting for anyone looking for a state of the art outdoor renovation. If you are looking for the cheapest job, go elsewhere. If you want a great job with the highest quality materials and workmanship, you will be happy with M.E. Contracting. Thank you for a job well done. I got 3 quotes for this work and M.E. Contracting was, in fact, the highest, but it was also the most complete. The work was completed quickly, efficiently and on schedule, and I am very pleased with the result. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, but also respectful and took instruction well.

There are many positive reviews for ME Contacting on Homestars. That is why we chose to use this Company. I could write an ordinary review saying that our project was successfully completed & that we we were pleased with the service. That would be true, but there is much more to be said. We own a ranch bungalow built in 1954. Part of the original construction involved the installation of a concrete pool in the backyard. That pool was surrounded by an old concrete deck and retaining walls consisting of railway ties. After 60 years, those ties were failing & needed to be replaced. And the pool deck was cracked & also in need of replacement. We contacted ME Contracting & dealt with Tomir Amir. He determined that physical access to our backyard was limited. That meant that he would not be able to bring down machinery to remove the railway ties or to dig out other portions of the retaining walls that needed replacement. All of this would have to be done by pure and simple manual labour. Let me tell you -clearly - that I doubt that there would have been another company that would have bothered with the enormous amount of manual work involved in this project. And yet, ME Contracting took it on. I can tell you that I personally saw Tomer, and his 'wing man', John Baird, each physically removing huge railway ties from our backyard using crowbars. This was, not btw, in March when the ties were still pretty much frozen to the ground. Then they carted those enormous ties up to the front of the house by wheelbarrow for further disposal. Tomer & John, and their crew, completely rebuilt our pool retaining wall with timbers. Not only that, they cut back some of the walls to give us more space around the pool deck. That, sadly for them, involved having to remove parts of an old concrete septic system tank. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the happiest of projects for Tomer & John, but I must say that they carried on with very hard work & integrity notwithstanding. They did what they said they would do. And we were very impressed with that. So, 10 out of 10, for sure. I'm going to put some photos on here so you will see what we started with & what we ended up with. The photos will speak volumes. When they has finished that, we were so pleased that we asked them to construct a new limestone deck to surround our pooll.

We hired ME to do our whole backyard with a deck, a stone patio and a small lawn. We initially had a few estimates. ME's estimate had very detailed info and reasonable price. We had to wait some time before our project started, but we should say it is worth waiting. The final result looks great and we are totally satisfied. Tomer was the one who led the project. He and his team were so neat, professional and worked from 7 to 6 every day. Tomer would communicate with us on our design and gave us some great ideas. The team's hard work sped up the project and we can enjoy our new backyard earlier than expected. In addition, the team was very courteous. They did the job without much noise and cleaned up the site every day after the work. We would definitely recommend ME and will call them without any hesitation for our next project in the future.

We hired M.E. to create our dream deck and they surpassed all expectations. From our initial encounter, Eitan offered excellent suggestions that only enhanced our vision. The team (Eitan, Karen and Patrick) was professional, and once the project was underway, the deck was completed in a timely fashion. Any situation that arose, was handled swiftly and appropriately. All materials used were of the highest quality and craftsmanship was clean and consistent. We are beyond pleased with our deck, it is a true work of art. We will be using M.E. for our future landscaping and contracting projects.

We certainly are pleased that we used M.E. Contracting to install our new deck. Eitan came up with an excellent design that maximized use of our limited space.
