Rob and team do four things really well:
They show up when they say they will
They do what they promise
If there is a problem they deal with it.
The keep you in the loop on everything going on.
When he says your pool will be in in 3 days, believe it, barring rain.
Trevor and his helper unloaded the parts for the pool in the pouring rain. They came at 7 PM to install the liner when the supplier was a little late.
Rob and team are about the putting the pool in , and they are super efficient at it, for an excellent price. The quality is there, too, using all Hayward products for pumps, filters, etc, that in my experience are very reliable and solid.
Rob will also work with you if you are after a specific price point, for instance suggesting we build a cover for the step rather than buying one, a several hundred dollar savings and he provided a plan and pictures! He was very straight up on what the pool was, and was not, and what we would get for our dollar. He also had great suggestions and technical advice for the things we handled.
If you are a bit of a do-it-your-selfer and want to coordinate the work yourself, working with Rob is great. You either do the things that he does not do (and he is clear on where the line is) or you can call one of the contractors he can recommend (and it will be several for each service, gas, electrical, etc) and he will tell you what they can and cannot do.
We had one issue with the pool, and that was that the winter cover supplier put the wrong cover in the box. We were struggling to put in on, and so I sent a picture to Rob asking what was up. He instantly responded that it was the wrong cover and he would get right back to me with options. Within a few days he had discussed with the supplier, and we had a proper cover a week later, plus Rob told the supplier we were keeping the incorrect cover because we already had it on the pool and he did not feel we should have to do extra work due to the supplier's mistake.
For us SmartPools was the perfect choice.
