    Excellent workmanship

    Refinish stairs

    We are so happy with the work done by Ideal Stairs. From the first visit to do the quote to the end result. Communication was excellent. Workmanship outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend them. Amazing job!!

    Stair updating

    We are in the midst of a significant renovation of a 3 storey s townhouse and we selected Ideal Stairs to undertake a complete updating of the full staircase from the basement to the third floor based on their HomeStars reviews and rating and the examples shown on their website. We had high expectations --- and they were exceeded! From our initial meeting in the showroom, to the site visit at our house and throughout the project Mesh's communication with us was exceptional. We always knew when his team would be there and what they would be doing. Our views were sought throughout regarding the quality of the work; from removal of the old railings, spindles and posts to sanding and staining of the treads, painting the risers and stringers to installation of the new posts, railings and spindles. And everything was done within the timelines he quoted, even though we had to ask Mesh to change the start date twice to accommodate our contractor. At the conclusion of the project when we saw the completed staircase we could not have imagined a better result. It is simply spectacular. Our plan was to install a runner over the length of the staircase, mostly as a safety measure for grandkids running up and down the stairs, but now we are reluctant to cover up such excellent work! Thank you Mesh and thank you to the craftsmen at Ideal Stairs.

    Staircase renovation

    I wish all contractors were as good as this team of experts! They really do set the bar high and meet it. The quote was reasonable, they called everyday to confirm arrival times, reviewed the status of the job with us, shared timelines (stuck to them), pleasant contractors! Small hiccups were addressed immediately. I’m very pleased with the final results! Thank you Ideal! Keep doing what your doing.

    Unbelievable Transformation!

    From start to finish, Ideal Stairs nailed it! Transformed 80s blonde wood carpeted stairs to a real showpiece. They really know their craft! White risers, stringers and spindles were colour matched to exciting trim and they provided 6 custom stain samples to match to existing hardwood flooring. It’s also worth noted they left work area spotless each night and job was fully finished 2 days ahead of schedule. Customer service as amazing as their craftsmanship! Mesh was especially helpful and truly went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Highly, highly recommend!

    Stair Renovation

    Staircase hand rail to basement

    I cannot recommend this company highly enough, 6 stars at least. From the initial contact with Mesh, the owner, through the installation which was completed in an efficient and professional manner to the follow up from Mesh personally to make sure we were happy, this company is outstanding.     Railings for Stairs

    Our basement stairs were finished but there was no railing. I called Ideal Stairs and first spoke to Mesh. He was very helpful, looked at some pictures I sent him and gave us a quote. The railings look great and his team stained them to match the existing stairs. I would recommend Ideal Stairs to anyone. They did such a good job, I didn't even have to clean up after. We are very happy with the railings and would use this company again.
