    Stair redo

    Ideal Stairs turned our carpeted stairs and oak railings into beautiful, modern, dark wood and white stairs with iron spindles. They did an amazing job, and did a great job of cleaning after themselves at the end of each day, which was important to me with two little boys running around the house! They also laid hardwood flooring on our landing and did the railing for the basement stairs and did a great job with that too! We are very happy with the finished product! I would definitely recommend this company.

    Wood flooring restain and finish

    Words cannot express our gratitude to this great company that did a fantastic job on our floors. They also helped us out when a previous company never showed up to do the job three days before a large party we were having. They are the easiest most professional company to work with. Their staff are polite competent and hard-working. I would recommend them to anyone!

    Excellent workmanship

    Remarkable detailed workmanship. Cleaned up everything each day. Only thing that dropped their rating below a 5 is they left two holes in the wall where the old handrail mounted to the gyproc. No mention of this when giving the quote. One hole is about 1.5" in diameter. They volunteered to fix it but at an additional price. Annoyed my wife in particular and is a pain in the a** but not the end of the world. Highly recommend these guys but be sure to ask about the fixing of any wall damage when getting your quote.

    Installation of Hardwood Flooring

    We've been waiting 15 years to take out the carpet from our upstairs bedrooms and staircase. Having 3 boys, the carpet had finally seen better days. Ideal Stairs was located via Homestars and after reading over the amazing reviews, we decided to make contact. Right from the start, Mesh and his team were very knowledgeable, respectful and made a way to get my new flooring installed as an early birthday present. The team arrived early every morning and explained what the day would have consisted of and went straight to work. Rajan was the lead on the project and between phone calls and daily visits to my home. He was a pleasure to work with. I absolutely love my new flooring. The boys couldn't wait to get back into their new rooms and I believe, the place feels so much lighter, with the flooring. Thank you again to Mesh, Rajan and the entire team. Job well done!

    Staircase to basement

    The team at ideal stairs are great. The stairs to my basement were done beautifully. The workers were on time everyday and extremely clean. They cleaned up everyday after the job. They kept great communication even telling me everyday when they were arriving. I am so happy I picked ideal stairs. Please trust the reviews on homestars. Ideal is the real deal.

    Mesh was very responsive and gave a quote over email. A date was booked and the team performed very high quality work. Very pleased with the end product !!! Thanks.

    Hardwood flooring on two floors and stairs

    Ideal Stairs did a high quality job to install hardware flooring on second, main floors and change the stairs from carpet to red oak by - Install red oak caps, risers on steps. - Install a red oak veneer on stringers and new red oak posts, wrought iron pickets. Attached pictures shows before and after of stairs. We choose Vintage Red Oak Mocha Solid Hardwood Estate, Pearl that is 3/4” thick and 4 1/4” width for the hardware flooring. The stain on the stairs looks darker than the Vintage Red Oak Mocha hardwood. Recommend that both you and your spouse check the stained red oak cap block to your chosen hardwood before start of install of stairs. Our house does look much better now than before with carpet on 2nd floor and older hardwood, ceramic tile on main floor! I would recommend Ideal Stairs to do your stairs and hardwood flooring.

    Wood staircase

    We are thrilled with the transformation of our front hall staircase—from tired broadloom to beautiful Jotoba wood stairs in just a few days. From the outset Mesh and Rajan were professional and came to our house to discuss options and provide a detailed estimate. We initially chose maple but realized it would not work with our existing Ipe flooring on the rest of the main floor. We asked for a new shipment of wood and this request was immediately accommodated. There were many delays due to rain, and I’m wondering if the crew could invest in a portable tent or canopy to provide a dry outdoor workspace and eliminate weather related delays. Ideal Stairs also left us with additional quantity of stain so we can refinish and stain our railings to match the stairs. The price was higher than the one other quote we recieved, but I felt more comfortable with Ideal Stairs and I certainly don’t regret my decision. There are not a lot of companies in Toronto that specialize in stairs, and it’s nice to know Ideal Stairs has years of experience and can produce extremely high quality work in this area. The before and after photos speak volumes!

    Our new stairs are incredible.

    My wife and I recently purchased a new townhouse in Caledon. The cost to upgrade the stairs to hardwood through the builder was insanely expensive so we opted to get the generic carpeted stairs and go with Ideal to finish them with hardwood after we moved in. We have a uniquely coloured laminate floor that we thought would be impossible to match. The guys at Ideal Stairs did the most amazing job matching the colour and we are so excited about our new stairs. They look so good, they were done on time, and the cost was beyond reasonable. I would recommend Mesh and Rajan to anyone who needs their stairs done. My wife has a design background so she is always critical and appreciates the finer details...given that all she could say was how happy she was with the new stairs says a lot about how good the craftsmanship was.

    Posts, railing and spindles upgrade

    We recelntly purchased a new home that unfortunately had poorly painted the railings and the spindles were extremely short which I felt was a safety hazard. I chose Ideal Stairs after reading reviews on HomeStars. I was not disappointed. They did an amazing job and the project was completed quicker than I had imagined. They removed our painted railing and completely sanded and refinished them. We also got new spindles and beautiful squared posts to update the look. Ideal Stairs was very professional and had wonderful communication. The workers were very clean which was important to us as well. We are beyond happy with the way the new stairs turned out and would happily recommend them to anyone. Thanks to Mesh and his team for making this a pleasurable experience!
