We first knew TAG from their excellent work on our house that had severe damage from the September 2018 tornado in Ottawa. TAG was hired by the general contractor employed through our condo corporation for the tear-down and rebuild of the interior of our house. Over the many months the TAG team worked on our home, we learned from the outset that this is a high quality and reliable company at affordable prices with professional, highly skilled tradesmen and courteous employees. We were so impressed with TAG that we hired them to replace part of our basement ceiling and add some pot lights. The owner Tom met with us initially to discuss the job, timeframe and cost estimate. The job came in on time and budget. Tom came for a walk-through once the job was completed to ensure everything was done as discussed. Once again, we are extremely pleased with their work. It is a pleasure working with Tom and his TAG team. Special thanks for all the excellent work by Derek and Drew who were responsible for much of the work done in our house. We regularly recommend TAG for jobs to others and also highly recommend them on this website. We look forward to seeing TOM and his TAG team this spring for a landscaping project.

The wife and I wanted to create an outdoor space that we could use to host friends during the summer/spring (wooden deck and stone patio). Tom worked with our irregular backyard shape, budget and created something that exceeded expectations. Due to how satisfied we were was with the backyard project, the following year I had them back to widen our single lane driveway so that it could fit a second vehicle. What I thought was functionality (saving me from playing musical cars on the daily) ended up being more; as it really added curb appeal to a cookie cutter home. I've hired several contractors in the Ottawa area for odds and ends BUT none have come close to the professional standards that Tom and his team bring consistently.

The TAG team came to remove old deck boards, railings and stairs and replace with new deck, railings and stairs. Our deck was a big job as it’s approx 22x22 and the job took approximately 4 days. The TAG team were extremely professional and courteous and left the job site clean each day. The TAG group have various trades in their employment and I would highly recommend them for any job.

We had a big job last summer (2019) that required some creativity to accomplish. The shape of our property is unusual and it made replacing the stairs to our second floor entrance challenging. We spoke to 6 contractors, partly because we knew it would be costly and mostly because almost all of them seemed a little afraid of the complexity. Tom was the only one we spoke to who seemed confident his people could not only do the job but improve on the current design. The other contractors left me a bit worried but Tom was correct and The Anything Guys did a great job. If you're curious about the details of the job I'll include them below: The project required TAG to Demolish and remove concrete steps suspended from the second story, remove and replace multiple retaining walls, design and construct a two-story staircase that expands into a deck with a gate leading to the back yard. This included excavating 4 feet into our neighbours property for a length of over 100 feet and installing a drainage system followed by a longer retaining wall and finally a fence. As you might expect with any project involving digging we encountered a couple of unexpected problems but Tom had experienced people on hand to deal with them. The end result looks great, thanks!

As a realtor it’s essential to have a company you can trust to provide honest, high quality, professional service and TAG is just that! I have happily referred my clients TAG for many years and they (and I) have always been very satisfied.

This is the second time we have hired TAG, and we were again very happy with the work and the experience. In this case we hired them to replace a deck and surrounding fencing, as well as repairing a sagging retaining wall between our property and the one adjacent. Tom was great with providing a detailed quote, and split invoicing for us and the neighbour for the shared elements of the job. Work started on time and proceeded mostly as expected. After starting work on the retaining wall it was decided that the original plan was not going to work due to nearby electrical installation, so a revised plan and quote was provided which was simpler and less cost (instead of completely excavating around the retaining wall and rebuilding it, concrete/wood pillars were sunk to which the retaining wall was attached, straightened, and secured). Work on the deck and fence proceeded very quickly, and we were very happy with the quality of the work and the result. Overall the project was completed on schedule and under the original cost. We routinely recommend TAG to others, and are happy to recommend them here. For us, they have been consistently responsive, on time, and on budget.

Back in 2017, in contacted TAG for a quote to repair our existing interlock deck and staircase. Tom came by and provided a detailed description of what can be done, as well as his recommendations. A few days later he provided quotes for a couple of options. After mulling over our options, we asked TAG to refresh the quote this past April (2019). Tom provided us with a new quote which included a composite deck along with two interlock pads. We decided to go ahead, and Tom's crew arrived in July as scheduled. The work was completed in just over 3 weeks, which included re-sodding the entire backyard, along with the path to the front of the house. We live on a large property and it was impressive to see how quickly, yet professionally his team completed the work despite extreme heat and thunderstorms on several days. We would absolutely recommend TAG again, and in fact we have requested quotes for other landscaping work to be completed at the front of the house.

Awesome work done on mine and my neighbours backyard. Came in on time and on budget. We can now enjoy entertaining our guests back there all summer. We will be hiring them next year to build the fences.

Workmanship was subpar and work was done well behind schedule with significant delays. Did not respond to my efforts to contact them. Very disappointing. Would not recommend to others. Good sales pitch - poor execution.
