Tarek has done a few projects for me in the past. He has always provided great service and a great product. The latest project was to install a railing on a newly renovated porch. As soon as the stonework was finished Tarek was there to measure for the new railing. After 1.5 weeks the railing was finished and installed. Great Job!

We needed a railing for our front steps and really did not where to go. We contacted Tarek because of the excellent reviews which we read about on Homestars. We found him to be prompt in replying and very easy to work with. He came quickly for measurement and an estimate, returned for a trial fitting and colour swatches and then finally for the installation which was faster than his estimate of time. When I called Smithworks, I had lots of questions about the product and what I wanted. They answered all our questions and met with us to go over design and take measurements. Tarek was super. He gave us an overview of the work, set timelines for completion and then actually stuck to those timelines. The crew came to have a trial fitting with our railing and then off for the final touches. I rarely do reviews, but felt really good about our experience with Smith Metal Works. They were professional, cleaned up the area after visiting, installed accurately and without wasting time and were just a pleasure to work with. The hand rails??? Well, let's just say that it completes the look of our front entrance. Sturdy, classic and just stunning. Thank you Tarek and all of your team members for helping us create our dream home. We were very impressed with the service we received. When I first called for a quote, they were very professional and answered all my questions. The quote provided to us was very reasonable and well laid out. Timelines, materials and all of the necessary steps were written out in a contract. The delivery and installation of the railing was also exceptional. I would highly recommend this company. The are a true example of what customer service should entail.

We needed an exterior stair railing extension for our newly renovated front porch. SMW was super fast to respond to the request for a quote. Tarek came by to assess and measure then offered me alternatives including the pros and cons for each alternative. He also offered design advice and was very flexible on changes requested. We ended up choosing his full solution and replaced the existing railings as well relative to doing just an extension. The final product is solid and more beautiful than we expected. Communication throughout the process was excellent and scheduling of the various stages was always at our convenience. The product was installed as promised, in time for my Halloween trick or treaters, so all were safe that night. Additionally, the team went beyond the expected service and fixed an internal railing that I had asked repair advice on: all part of the same deal.
