    Nerw Roof

I am so happy to have finally found a contractor (of any sort) who is honest, delivers what he promises and takes pride in his work. Greg and his team at Crucial Roof are awesome and did my roof in one day (albeit, a small roof but still!). When I first experienced problems with a leak last fall I called several "big" roofing companies and the ONLY one who called me back -- and right away too -- was Greg. Excellent work and my new roof is gorgeous and more importantly, properly done! Thank you Greg and your awesome team. I would refer you to anyone, anytime!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Melinda. It's such a pleasure working with awesome Homeowners. We both know that although your roof is small it was not without it's challenges. I'm glad we were able to work through them and satisfy you to receive a 10! Cheers. Greg

    repair leak on tile roof

Greg was very knowledgeable on the tile roof; he came by in a short notice on a rainy day to do the repair; he took pictures before and after the repair work; no more leak on our roof now

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the vote of confidence Susan. Short and sweet is the best. When everything falls in line as far as work, price and scheduling... it just can't be beat :-) Here's hoping you continue to stay dry. Cheers. Greg.

    New roof

They did a number of jobs for us and Greg is awesome. If there are ever any leaks he follows up with a service calls quickly (around two days). He’s done everything for us from homes, to commercial properties and skylights.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Eric. We appreciate your confidence in us. As a Property Manager I know your job is busy enough so I try and lessen your work load by just keeping you in the loop (and myself personally dealing directly with the tenant or occupant) and not having to make you do the trivial tasks. Here's hoping for continued relations. Greg

    Roofing

I think I found them online and I received several estimates from other companies but what made me choose Crucial was that I hit it off with Greg and he answered all of my questions excellently. They did some roofing for my Mother in law and a section of something else for me as well. They did an outstanding job.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Mike. I like to think I'm a personable guy too :-) More importantly though I want to be seen as both an authority on roofing and a trust worthy contractor. I will continue to strive for those goals. I think you and I are on the same page though for sure. Cheers! Greg

    Gutters and Eaves

I was waiting to give these guys a review until after it rained so I could see how the work really was. The rain has come and there are no leaks. Crucial did the work they said they were going to do and so far the work has held up. I didn't do a lot of shopping around so I can't really comment on price but the work was not cheap- it's done and seems fine so far so I'm happy.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Douglas. Let's hope you stay happy too. We do a lot of membrane gutter repairs so Randy and I have the system down to a level of perfection. That was a full 3-day job for us seeing as how you included all the preventative maintenance, I suggested, of your concrete tile roof in addition to the hidden gutter system upgrade. Thanks again for your confidence in us. Cheers. Greg

Patching gutter leaks, facia board repair

Crucial Roof Services was very professional in the way they did their work and in the way they handled the project. Quote process: Greg had come in person to look at the work that needed to be done. He took a look at each and every spot on my gutters that was leaking and accessed the amount of work that would need to be done based on a worst case scenario. He explained my options for the amount of repair i'd like him to do. The quote was broken down with a picture attached to each issue area and an explaination of what needed to be done. After the work had started, if it turns out that an area was not as bad as initially thought, he removed items from the final invoice as he did not need to do it. The build: The build went very smoothly and the work was done in a timely and professional manor. the work area was cleaned and there was constant e-mail/phone communication to let me know the status of the project. Some of the leaking areas caused some major rotting on the facia boards around the gutters and those were also fixed and changed out as well. Project end: I was very happy with the work and the project was closed out with no real issue. Greg had also gave me some recommendations on how i could maintain the gutters, audit the work he had done and repaint some areas.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Haydon. Your job was one of the larger membrane gutter repair jobs compared to what we usually run across. Your house had over 40 patches! Compound that with carpentry work on the fascia boards and we've got a 3-day time commitment. I'm glad everything went smoothly and I'm even more glad you are happy. Thanks for taking the time and posting this positive review :-) Greg

    Fix roof leak, replace skylights

After reading the multitude of good reviews on homestars I called Greg at Crucial Roof and had him check out a leak on our concrete tile roof. He was at our home that very afternoon checking everything out. He was extremely informative, friendly and I learned alot about my roof. He recommend several fixes and general maintence items that would prevent future leaks. Two days later he had replaced the skylights, fixed the furance stack, replaced two roof vents and cleaned and fixed the pan flashing around my skylights. All this was completed in less than a 1/2 day and he answered a barrage of questions from me. The price was very reasonable considering how much was done. I would not hesitate to recommend him!! Alex

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Alex. I can't say every customer of mine gets their job done as quickly as you got yours (2 days!) but it sure is nice when it happens. Great choice on the skylight upgrade too. You will enjoy those Velux units for many years to come. Cheers Greg

    Roof Repair

Greg at Crucial Roof Services came highly recommended by a well-established local roofing company that did not have the expertise to properly handle the repair work on my concrete tile roof. I was told that working with these types of roof systems requires men with “finesse” and expert level experience. Multiple attempts to fix two different leaks in my roof by two different roofing companies ended in failure. This was not the case with Greg and his team – the leaks were fixed the first time. During the initial assessment, Greg took the time to inspect the entire roof, including all the skylights, chimneys/vents, and gutters and then showed me detailed pictures of what he suspected may be the cause of the leaks as well as what may be potential problems as time passes. In his quotation for the work, Greg clearly showed which items needed immediate attention and which items were recommended for preventative maintenance. Greg and his team started work on my roof as soon as the weather conditions were optimal. After the work was completed, I was shown detailed pictures of the repairs performed. There were no surprises in the invoice - it actually came in a little lower than what was quoted. Have dealt with Greg, I find him to be very knowledgeable and experienced, easy to talk to, enthusiastic and very proud of his work. Greg did not have preconceived ideas nor did he make guesses about where the leaks may be coming from but instead took the effort to investigate all possibilities. In my opinion, this sound methodology along with his many years of experience and great work ethics sets Crucial Roof Services apart from the other roofing services I have dealt with. The bottom-line: Crucial Roof Services fixed my leaky roof on the first try.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Gary. I never understand what is so difficult about Customer Service and why everyone doesn't do it the way I do. I guess I'm glad they don't! As far as stopping the leak is concerned... I love having the challenge of other's failures behind me. It gives me a chance to shine! Once again thanks Gary. Greg
