    Very Reliable

    I hired Green Side Up Contracting to renew my old deck and build fences for my backyard. Jay explained the process and how long it is going to take in details and answered my questions. Jay is honest, frank and knows how to listen his clients. I am very happy to choose his company. He recommended permit guys and worked with them. The project went smooth overall. There was some delays due to supply issue but that was a risk I was informed on time. Jays deck crew did a nice work. Listened to my request and adjusted some small things. The fence builders, Jay is working with, are also amazing. They were Punctual, detailed oriented and giving respect to their work. I strongly recommend Green Side Up for your Deck and Fence project.

    Back Yard Deck and Fencing

    Jay's team of subcontracted carpenters and builders, led by Daniel Meister, did an amazing job under sometimes challenging circumstances due to inclement weather and tight rear laneway parking. Daniel and friends were efficient, dedicated, flexible and friendly, making sure to inform and ask us along the way about any changes or modifications that made sense. We're thrilled with the final result, and would highly recommend Green Side Up and Daniel Meister for their excellent project organization and workmanship.

    Backyard Reno

    We are very happy with the work done by Green Side Up Contracting. If you are reading reviews, then look no further than this company…. you won’t regret it, in our opinion. From our initial meeting with Jay, we found him to be very professional and easy to work with. Our calls were always answered promptly, and meetings on schedule. It’s obvious Jay cares about quality work. His team and crew were unbelievable. They were so courteous and considerate and made sure to do a quick clean up before leaving. Not only that but every single one of the team is genuinely enthusiastic to build something that’s beautiful for the customer. The timing and co-ordination with other companies to do the sprinklers, gas lines and electrics was seamless. We highly recommend Jay and his team.

    Backyard Deck

    Jay and his team are the BEST in Aurora! We love our new Trex Deck! Dealing with Jay and Richard was so easy, they were up front regarding pricing and timelines. The workmanship is excellent, my deck is solid and I can't wait to host next summer! We paid for the Trex waterproofing and I'm so glad we did, as Jay has created 2 outdoor spaces we will use all the time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a honest contractor who can build a solid deck!!

    Front Driveway and Backyard Makeover

    We were looking at getting a few projects done this year to enjoy our outdoor space but had a few needs. From fencing, gate work, building a back patio and driveway extension. I didn't want to deal with multiple contractors and wanted someone knew their stuff. I met with multiple contractors, all said they'll just build me what I want, without addressing my biggest concern, which was dealing with a huge sloping issue both in front and back. Jay was the only one that said we can't and won't do what you want because it'll fail and why. The honesty and professionalism was the start of our relationship. The detailed estimate was sent, which left no room for surprises and no changes were done without consultation. First was the fence work. Jay had Daniel's team come, install new posts, fence and a new gate within 2 days work. Daniel kept me in the loop for finishing details, otherwise there was not much involvement on my end which was a relief. Swift clean up and on to the wait for the stone crew to come in. Rob and his team came in after to work on the patio and driveway. Before starting the front or back, he took the time each time to first walk through the area and advise on any potential issues that may arise. Throughout the project, if there were any adjustments or decisions to be made, different options with pros and cons were always laid out. It made us feel happily at ease knowing someone who cared was doing the project. I was expecting a lot of material being laid out everywhere but to my surprise, they were super organized, and had deliveries in increments to the tune of only what's needed for the day. Before end of each workday, the work site was cleaned up, roads brushed and tools tucked away. Needless to say, my neighbours appreciated it also. The weather wasn't our friend during this process, but Rob's team fought through it and had our job completed on schedule. This company certainly aims to please their clients. You are paying for great quality and peace of mind. My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone looking to have any landscaping done. Will look to use them soon again when we start our indoor renovation projects.

    Backyard Makeover

    I found Green Side Up on HomeStars last fall. After reading a number of good reviews, I decided to give it a try. Jay was very responsive and came to visit my property to make initial assessment. Because of the irregular shape of the garden, he recommended a professional designer whose work proved to be so excellent. Based on the design, Jay gave me a detailed quote listing each item. The projected started the end of April. Even with the restrictions of ongoing pandemic and shortage of staff and materials, Jay and his team managed to complete their part of the entire project on schedule. Throughout the whole time, they were efficient, professional and open to new ideas. I had such a good time working with Jay, Rob and their team members and other project teams Jay recommended including Rocco, Sam, Rob, Daniel and Israel etc. Thanks to their great work, I can fully enjoy my backyard oasis.

    New Deck & Fence

    We had a very failing deck with a sun room on it and a fence that was on it's last legs and we asked Jay and company to replace the fence and deck. First up we are absolutely thrilled with deck and fencing! The project came together even better than we had hoped. In addition working with Green Side Up has been one of the best contracting experiences we've have to date. The crews have been incredibly fast and professional with their work. Jay has been responsive, transparent and an honest partner throughout this process. We will absolutely be asking to work again with Green Side Up for future projects

    Fence

    Jay and his team are true professionals and amazing at what they do. We hired the team to put up a fence and they did an amazing job and ahead of schedule. My neighbour was not happy I was putting up a fence and caused some trouble for the team but they handled it really well and I truly appreciate their patience. Hiring this team again for their services is a no brainer. I would recommend them to my family and friends any day.
