    Fence

    The whole fence process was pleasant: Jay explained why his fences are the best, and then made it happen! All meetings were on time and professional. The building team was friendly and kept the work area tidy. And now we have a beautiful fence, making the backyard feel private. Much appreciated!

    New house landscaping, patio and pergola

    We just moved in to a new house and wanted a front and back patio as well as a sidewalk and hot tub area. We had Green Side Up as well as three other contractors quote on the project. Jay’s quote was competitive and he seemed to understand our desire for a combination of style and function. Jay brought in Aislyn to do a full design of the project. The design was invaluable as it gave all the people involved a clear and uniform view of the overall project. Chase and his crew built a custom pergola that met all our requirements. Rob and his team poured concrete slabs for the hot tub and storage shed and installed a front and back paver patio with a connecting walkway as well as landscaping with plants and design elements recommended by Aislyn. Jay coordinated the whole project and kept us well informed and arranged for stone veneer on the front porch and stairs as well as aluminum railings and gate to complete the project. Everyone on the project was professional and worked hard to meet our needs. We enjoyed working with them. We are very happy with the result and recommend Jay and the whole Green Side Up team for any landscaping project.

    Backyard Privacy Fence

    Wasn't sure we were going to get our fence this year with all the building materials shortages in/around the city. Green Side Up were a bit behind schedule but, in the end, still came through for us. Very happy with the finished product. Great job. Thnx!

    fence build

    I am new to the area, Jay advised about existing tre protection bylaws and we adjusted fence design to comply. Even during lumber shortages he was able to pull through, the result is a super solid fence built as promised. Thank you GSU

    New Composite Deck

    I found Green Side Up on Homestars and completed their online deck calculator, which proved to be very accurate. It was also comparable to other companies who provided estimates. Jay contacted me immediately, and was honest and upfront about the process. He was extremely reliable and professional in his communication throughout, answering all my questions and always calling or emailing back right away. The new Trex deck was completed on time, and looks beautiful! Not only did Victor do excellent work, but he was so kind and thoughtful as well. It was a pleasure to deal with Green Side Up. I would not hesitate to use them again. We’re so happy we have a new backyard space to enjoy!

    Rebuilding verandah with composite

    Had our two-tiered deck replaced with composite last year; so pleased, we had our side verandah done this year. Professional from start to finish. Jay is a pleasure to deal with, and Victor's carpentry skills are outstanding. Price was fair, the workmanship is superb and we couldn't be more pleased.

    New Deck

    I hired Green Side Up Contracting because of their great reviews on HomeStars. When I called the company, I spoke with Jay and he handled all of my questions and came to see my deck right away. Jay and I along with one of his associates Zach worked on what would be best for this house and I decided to go with Trex decking and glass railings. They put little lights on the deck which makes it look so pretty at night. The whole process was very positive and the final outcome was amazing.

    Back yard fence

    I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Jay is a great guy and super easy to talk to, he kept in contact while I was waiting and came when he said he was. They ripped out my old fence and installed the new one quicker than I expected and his crew did excellent work. Well done.

    Backyard Makeover

    We can’t thank Jay and his entire team at Green side Up Contracting for their hard work this past summer. We reached out to Jay in May with a plan of doing a large project that included a new fence (Dan & Co.), deck (Chase & Co.), stone patio and new garden retaining wall (Rob & Co.). I’ll let the pictures below speak for themselves and the hard work everyone put into our backyard space. Jay was with us every step of the way and was always available to help with our questions and guide us where needed, as well as to assist in keeping the projects moving along. Honest, hardworking, organized, and reliable is how I would describe these people. I’d also throw in “tidy”, as our neighbours came to us after to say how impressed they were with the daily cleanup work. It was a joy to work with you all, and we actually kinda miss everyone!     Replacement of a shared border fence

    Our Condominium Corporation hired Green Side Up Contracting (Jay) to demolish and replace our 355 linear foot border fence shared with another Condo complex. Green Side was in constant contact before and during the project, including progress photos. There were challenges not initially seen in order to have the project done correctly that were immediately communicated and resolved. Extra costs needed to be added to the initial quote but the added expense by a third party for the rental of an h-vac truck was presented with a copy of the third party's invoice enclosed; no hidden fees. Our Corporation is very pleased with Green Side Up's services, this is our second time in 5 years that we have hired them to complete a project and we will definitely be calling them again for another project next summer.
