    New fence install

    The experience from jay and his team was amazing from start to finish. Their communication and helpfulness in the assessment phase as well as keeping us informed as we got closer to our install was very professional Their willingness to hear and meet our needs and provide ideas based on their expertise was very welcomed and appreciated The install crew was simply amazing , they were friendly, clean , polite and very efficient in getting our Project done. We are very happy with the work and would highly recommend them for anyone who is considering them for their project Thanks Jay and the Green side up team

    Deck

    The work done was of exceptional quality and detailed. Very accommodating to extras requested which was important as changes are expected as you start to visualize the work. Communication was also very good and Jay was always available for any concerns.

    Fencing

    After several years without fences, I decided this is the year to get my backyard fenced. I did my online research and talked to several vendors. They are either unorganized or have a large minimum (only willing to do several houses in one project). Then, I found Green Side Up with a lot of great feedback from many happy customers so I went ahead for an online quote on their website (which is very easy to use and has lots of information by the way). After the online quote, I requested a visit and met with Jay from Green Side Up. Jay took his time to explain to me every aspect of the fencing project from the wood they use, the post installation, the style of fencing etc. He listened to my future plan of my backyard and suggested the style of fence (I went with "Friendly Neighbor"). After the meeting, I decide to go ahead with Green Side Up. I also got a chance to meet with Green Side Up's fence team manager Dan before starting my project. This gave me additional confidence with this company. When the team is ready to work on my backyard and the materials are ready, Dan and his team arrived and finished my project on time (2 days). Throughout this time, Dan and his team have been very professional and were willing to answer any questions I have. They kept the area clean and I didn't have to worry about anything. Dan even helped fix one of my neighbors minor fence problem for free while he was on site!! At the end, I am very happy with the finished product and the services. I highly recommend Green Side Up for any of your fence needs.

    Fence

    I was introduced to Jay at Green Side Up Contracting though a friend of mine who had them build him a deck several years ago. My friend found Green Side Up on HomeStars. The fence calculator on their website was very helpful and accurate too. I was also impressed with all the details publicly shared on their website about how exactly the fence was going to built. When shopping around, I asked other contractors if they could provide this level of detail and I just received comments about the build? which by the way drastically varied between contractors! Nobe of the other contractors were able to provide me with the level of detail that Green Side did. I was also impressed with the 5 year warranty, the fact they didn’t ask for any deposit, or down payment where some of the other contractors I spoke to wanted 20 - 30% at singing and most only offered a 2 year warranty. Paying for 100% of the project upon completion of the project really gave a sense of security! There were some project delays due to the lumber shortage, however Jay always kept me in the loop and was very transparent. Jay’s crew, lead by Daniel were polite, very informative and answered any questions I had. They’re clearly very talented tradesmen and kept the site very clean. Definitely recommend this company. In fact we’re going to have them next year to do a new deck!

    Fence replacement

    A year ago, our neighbour behind replaced his fence, a portion of which was shared with us. At that time, we met the owner of Green Side Up, and had a sample of his work. This year we needed to replace both side fences, and with our neighbours, arranged for him to come out and quote. He met with us, measured and reviewed the project, and returned a straightforward quote within 24 hours. After we approved, he scheduled our project. Prior to starting work, he brought the project lead out to review the job, and gave us a planned timeframe. Due to COVID-19, there were material shortages, and inclement weather added to the challenges. Though the project took longer because of the above, we were kept informed, and the work was completed in reasonable time. We’re happy with our new fence, and pleased with the quality of work. I recommend Green Side Up to anyone looking for fencing, either new or replacement.

    Backyard Fence (6ft Basic)

    Greenside up is a great company who put in a fantastic fence. The entire crew was well informed, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They were professionals when dealing with my difficult neighbours and got the job done while keeping all parties happy. They also have detailed blueprints and an easy quote system on their website allowing you to budget and make comparisons to other contractors. They came in with the best price and service making the choice clear Our backyard is now our own private little oasis for relaxation, barbecuing and get togethers with friends and family

    Backyard Fence

    The primary reason to choose Green Side Up to build my backyard fence was their high HomeStars rating. The project is now completed and I believe the team deserve 10/10 due to: - The process of quotation was fast. - Project started and completed on time and as planned. - Roles and responsibilities of contractors were well defined. Each had their own field of expertise. - Daniel and his team are experienced at what they're doing. Every stage of project was explained in details by team members with good attitude and manner. - Job site was cleaned at the end of each working day. - Jay was responsive via email/phone from day 1 to the end of project.

    Fence and deck

    Jay, Daniel and team did a great job! The team worked efficiently and both the fence and deck were up in no time. There were delays in the project due to an ongoing lumber shortage, and Jay and Daniel kept us appraised of timelines. We are very happy with their work and have received many compliments from our neighbours.

    Fence Replacement

    I hired Green Side Up Contracting to replace a fence. Jay was great from the start explaining the process and addressing questions from me and my neighbours. Most importantly, the job was completed as promised and to our complete satisfaction. Chase and his crew were fantastic! They were skilled, professional and knowledgeable - handling any and all issues that arose. We've had compliments from other neighbours on their work and have already given them Jay's name for their upcoming projects I would highly recommend Green Side Up Contracting! Thanks Jay & Chase

    Landscaping Project

    No need to waste time getting quotes from other contracting firms. In my experience (building and renovating 3 homes), Jay is the most honest and trustworthy contractor in the business. His knowledge, experience and professionalism is top-notch. Rob and his crew were extremely talented and hard-working.They took the time to understand our needs; and they provided guidance to make adjustments to our landscape designs, in order to create a space that was perfect for our lifestyle. We would certainly recommend Jay and Rob, as we felt that we were in very capable hands, and helped us achieve an outstanding result.
