    Stunning New Deck!

    Green Side Up Contracting built a gorgeous deck that we are absolutely thrilled with!! The privacy screen, built in benches and planter were made with expert craftsmanship and they paid attention to every detail to ensure we were happy with the outcome. Jay responded to all my inquiries with warp speed and Victor was meticulous with the build. They were both a pleasure to work with and we will definitely use their services again for future projects.

    New Deck

    We had to remove part of our old deck to repair a leaking foundation. Jay and his team came to assess the situation and helped us find a solution. They removed the old deck and the concrete pad beneath the deck (which was causing our water issues) and took away all the debris. To help us better manage our water on site, they installed a weeping trench to absorb the rain water from the downspout. Over top of that they installed a brand new deck, stairs with a railing from our patio door and a beautiful privacy screen. We have received many compliments from our neighbours. The carpenter that built our deck was Steve. He was a gem! He took pride in what he does and always made sure we were happy with his design and his work. We grew very fond of him and would look forward to his daily visits to work on the project. Both my husband and I enjoyed chatting with him. We missed him when the job was done. Jay the company's owner provides excellent customer service and was always very responsive via email and phone. Overall we couldn't be happier with Green Side Up. We have enjoyed many meals, drinks and good times on our awesome new deck. Thanks Steve, Jay, Graham and Zach!

    Fence

    Our experience with Green Side Up Contracting was the best! We love our new fence. Jay got back to us immediately after we first contacted him, came for a site visit within a couple of days, and gave us a very fair quote that same night. The crew arrived earlier than promised. Daniel, Cory, and Brad were great, worked hard, and had our fence (and our neighbour's) up in 2 days. The fence is perfect. We'll definitely be getting in touch with Green Side Up Contracting again for future projects.

    New Fence, Corner Lot

    Green Side Up Contracting Ltd provided us professional, efficient and responsive customer service - before and during the construction of the fence. Consultation prior to the build was thorough and thoughtful. I was particularly impressed by how communicative these guys were during the building of the fence. Whenever they had to make a deviation from the consultation plans, they let us know (knocked on the door) prior to moving forward...a great way to manage change and our expectations during the process. Finally, we believe the price of product and services rendered were fair/reasonable. Thanks to Jay, Daniel and his professional team, we got the privacy a good fence is supposed to provide.

    Fence, Gates and Pergola Replacement

    Green Side Up replaced a 20 year old wood fence with a brand new wood fence. The quality of the work is excellent, and the project was completed very quickly. They were upfront with the quote and potential extra cost related to posts and municipal servicing. The care the team took in removing and building was obvious and appreciated. The custom pergola they built for the front gate is beautiful!

    Fence & gates replaced

    This is the second time I have used GSU Contracting. One side of my yards fence blew down after standing for almost 20 years. Both times Jay and his team responded quickly, provided very competitive pricing and most importantly delivered exactly what they promised, a solid “Friendly Neighbour” fence and gates. They were quick to schedule the start and finished as they promised. No payment up front gives you piece of mind. Would definitely recommend GSU to others.

    A rotten fence...

    One side of my fence was falling apart along with a gate that was becoming unusable. Jay reached out and walked me through the features their website offered which gave me an immediate quote. He followed up, came on site to see the job, I signed the quote online and soon thereafter the crew came to demolish my existing fence and replace it with a basic fence with clean lines and a new gate to boot. I also had a corner of my deck that had to be partially reconstructed to accommodate a hot tub. The crew was easy going and very accommodating. We had worked on a solution how to best address the decking around the hot tub. Few minor deficiencies were handled pretty much immediately. Love looking at my new fence! Also appreciate the technology of receiving a quote immediately to help me assess if the project was realistic. Jay is very accessible via text which made scheduling and the project itself much less stressful.
