Backyard Fence Installation
Project was reasonably priced (the online quotation tool was convenient), and Jay was very amicable and did his best to keep us updated on timelines given the Covid-related closures. His team was equally courteous and professional, the fence was sturdily built and completed in two days. Thanks again Jay and team!

Great new fence
I'm very pleased with the new look of the backyard. The fence looks great and was completed so quickly too! The guys were accommodating to my requests and a pleasure to have around.

Fence & Pergola Construction
Green Side Up removed and replaced our 30 year old fence and added a pergola attached to our extension. Jay was a pleasure to work with, highly responsive and communicative and his quote was competitive. The team was extremely quick and tidy. We are pleased with the end result and would recommend Green Side Up

Fence , retaining wall , Decks
Jay and Zach are most professional contractors I ever had the opportunity to work with. I needed to replace two decks, a fence and a retaining wall and after getting quotes from 3 contractors, I decided to go with Jay and Zach for the work. I choose Jay and Zach because their customer service is outstanding, they listen to you and are able to provide a solution based on your budget and needs without sacrificing quality and style. They completed all the work in only two weeks and let the work area spotless and on top of that Zach’s craftsmanship is just exceptional, a true artist. Backard wood fence and gate
I first used them for fence replacement on one side of my backyard 2 years ago. Based on that job, they were the only ones I contacted when the other side needed to be done. They again lived up to my high expectations ... same excellent communication from start to finish by owner Jay and his crew lead Daniel, they showed up when they said they would, took care not to damage the plantings in the garden, did great quality work, and cleaned up properly. What more can you ask for?

Bathroom Reno
Zach was very diligent in completing our project. He kept us updated before and after work completion every day. Any changes we requested were well received and completed to our satisfaction. He made good suggestions throughout the project to which we agreed. Zach is a very positive person and a very able worker/ tradesman. Clean up was neatly performed everyday and the bathroom ( the only one in the house) was made available for our use throughout the project. We would definitely use Green Side Up for future renovations.

Deck, outdoor kitchen, gabion
Jay, Zach and the team did an amazing job helping me build my dream outdoor living space. Not only did they come through with a tight timeline but they added some great ideas, were super accommodating to tweaking the design as the project progressed and came up with some great ideas with the gabion. Great job and look forward to continuing to work with them

Deck and Roof Rebuild
I had to rebuild the deck and roof above it because the previous owner built them without permit. After obtaining the building permit I contacted a few reputable deck builders in GTA for quotes. Green Side Up Contracting was probably the last few I contacted but the first to provide me the quote. Jay actually sent Zach the next day to inspect the site before providing the quote. The quote was very competitive compare to other contractors. After reading through the reviews here I chose to go with Green Side Up Contracting and I think this is one of the best decision I've made. The job involved: - Demolishing and disposal of the existing deck and roof - New concrete piers to the depth of 48" or more - Rebuilding the deck and roof Jay was very patience with me even when I changed the materials used for the job and provided the updated quote which I couldn't refuse. He ensured the job started on the promised date, managed the project very well, ensured my questions are answered and worries are taken cared of, and completed the project to my satisfaction. Zach, who demolished and built the deck, was just a one man army. I've never seen a hard-worker like him. He was not only a perfectionist but also ensured the job was done to my satisfaction and provided useful suggestions when I was in doubt. Jay & Zach ensured the deck and roof was built strong and beautiful- for example, the drawing only called for 16" inch on centre joists but these guys built the joist 12" apart, installed beautiful joist hangers for the roof and brackets for the posts, wide pickets for the guard rails and many more. In the end I have a beautiful Trex deck - (Spiced Rum spiced rum with Vintage Lantern picture frame) with aluminum guard rails. I will definitely hire Jay and his crew for any future projects.
