back yard renovation; installing flagstone, new fence, new porch, garden
Jay was very helpful and flexible through a long job with many decisions about design, materials, and so on. The final work was done quickly with minimal disruption. The result is excellent. We are very happy with the whole process. We recommend Jay and Green Side Up wholeheartedly.

Back deck
Steve did a fantastic job on the deck - we just love it. Fast, efficient and they took in the job right away. Jay worked with me on the design and followed up with me to ensure I was satisfied. Thanks to Jay and Steve.

Backyard Fence
Like any big project , there is always some issues; this one was no exception. The difference is how it is resolved. These guys handled the project and the issues which arose very professionally and did a great solid job. Thanks Grant for a great looking fence.

New Fence
We needed a new fence in the backyard and decided to call Greenside Up Contracting. We received a competitive quote almost immediately and gave them the go-ahead. We are very happy with the entire project from start to finish. All communication and interaction with Jay, Grant, and the fence team Cory and Dan was excellent. Grant was great and kept us informed every step of the way. The fence was installed by professionals and looks great with no complaints whatsoever. Will definitely recommend them to my friends and would not hesitate to use them again.

Basement Renovation
A few years ago, Jay and his team completed extensive landscaping in the front and backyard of our property that was well beyond our expectations. We were excited when his team sent us an email in fall of 2018 explaining how they were doing basement renovations. We received multiple quotes from other contractors, but none came close to the level of professionalism and competence exhibited by Jay and Zach. From day one, the team provided expert advice and kept the lines of communication open throughout the process. This was a very large project, but their experience and expertise made it feel effortless. I have very high expectations when it comes to quality of work, open lines of communication and professionalism. Jay, Zach and Carl exceeded those expectations and I would highly recommend them for any renovation ideas you have. We will be contacting Green Side Up for future projects in our home as they have proven to be the best out there.

Cedar Fence and Gates
Best contractors I’ve ever hired! I found Green Side Up Contracting here on HomeStars based on their great reviews and I’m so happy I hired them. The owner Jay personally came to my property to do a site assessment and provide a quote. He gave me a quote on the same day (cheaper than the two other companies I approached) and answered all my questions promptly. When the project began he assigned me my own project manager who regularly called me with updates, timing estimates, and made sure I was happy at the end of each workday. Every person on Jay’s team was kind, courteous and went above and beyond, even accommodating my last minute change of plans. They always arrived on time, when they said they would, and left the place tidy when they left. They worked fast, and would give me updates at every step of the way. My assigned project manager came by the day after the work was done to do a final walkthrough with me and make sure I was satisfied, and Jay followed up with a call as well (he even noticed some sawdust left behind in a photo that I didn’t even notice and insisted on coming by personally for one final sweep). I will hire them again whenever I can. My cedar fence is beautiful and I’m looking forward to enjoying it all summer.

Front Porch/Deck Renovation
Jay and his crew did an amazing job! The front deck they built for us is beautiful, and is the new defining feature for our home. It's like having a new room in the house! Jay and his team were courteous and got the job done when they said they would, working on the weekend to make up for days lost due to inclement weather. Jay also recommended other reputable contractors to do the electrical and soffit work, and not only did they work out well, but Jay coordinated all the work so we didn't have to. Overall we are incredibly happy with Greenside and will definitely be working with them again in the future.

Fence
I found Green Side Up via Homestars.com and after reading all the excellent reviews decided to get an online estimate for a fence. The estimate was in my inbox within minutes with most details I expected to be covered. I responded to the email to schedule an at-home quote and that was the beginning of an “EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE & SERVICE”. Jay was on time on a Saturday, gave me a quote which was exactly the same as the online estimate, So, no surprises there. The quote was fairly competitive. I liked the quick response, communication & timelines. On the day on the marking, Jay, Grant, Corey and Daniel where onsite at 7AM, again on time and markings were done as required. On the day the posts were to be setup, I made changes to the size of the fence again. Grant and team were so cooperative, understanding and patient went through the marking one more time as per my new plan. I have had many projects done at my place from different contractors. Daniel and Corey are the best, cheerful, always greeted you with a smile and knew what they were doing. The entire project was done in 2 days. The fence and gate are strong and well built. The hinges and the hardware used to build the gate are of the best quality. It is TOUGH. If you are looking for an overall “EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE” Green Side Up Contracting is the one to go with. Backyard Fence
We were absolutely thrilled with our backyard fence, and the entire experience of working with Green Side Up. From the first interaction Jay was responsive, attentive, and informative. He helped us decide on a fence for our backyard and was sensitive to our difficult situation (large dog next door jumped the fence and attacked our puppy). He provided options, a detailed quote, and worked with us to make the quote work within our budget. Once the time came for the job to start, he connected with us ahead of time to confirm, and met with us on the morning of the job starting with his team to walk us through everything. Given that we had already taken down the shorter existing fence, he worked with us to prioritize the job so our little ones could enjoy the backyard safely. The entire fence was done in less than 3 days. There was no hassle, no stress, and no hidden costs. They even arranged for the check of the gas lines to occur prior to our job starting (something other companies asked that we arrange for ourselves). There pricing was very competitive, and the customer service was unbelievable. We felt respected and comfortable the entire time. It is always a risk dealing with a new company on an important home project, but I can confidently say that we cannot wait to use them again for another project! Would definitely recommend.
