    Incredible Workmanship and Service

    Our fence has been on the verge of falling over for years. The wind storm a few weeks back was the final push (literally) I needed to replace it. When Jay came by, not only was he professional but also recommended a retaining wall since our backyard was slopped and pushing against the fence. That's the type of informed recommendations I'm always looking for from a contractor. Give me what I want plus, something that will help it last a long time. When it came time to do the work, Zack was the one who actually replaced the fence. My entire life, I thought two or more people were needed when putting up a fence. Zack did it on his own! From tearing down the old fence, removing concrete from the ground, to drilling the holes needed for the posts, it was all Zack. Not only does the fence look incredible but I'm convinced it'll outlive me. Hiring Green Side Up was the best decision I made and I'd do it again for any future projects.

    New Fence

    Jay and his carpenter Zack were good guys and went above and beyond in regards to service and being mindful of our neighbours existing gardens. Zack took the time to ensure the fence design was to our needs and did a tremendous job with both design and build. I would recommend Green Side Up all the way down the line.

    Fence repair

    Our fence came down in the storm a few weeks ago and I was given a referral from a friend to call Green Side. Even though Jay wasn’t sure if he was getting the job, (my neighbor was also getting a quote) Jay was kind enough to install a temporary snow fence to appease the bylaw office of Aurora. That speaks volumes as to the kind of service you can expect from this company. We will definitely do business with them in the future!

    Backyard fence

    Professional and efficient and fast, unbelievable response to the customer request, we asked for a certain time to finish the fence, that was done in less than one and half days. Zach is a professional carpenter and very efficient. We recommend Green Side Up Contracting company for all landscape projects.

    Fence Replacement

    It was a pleasure working with Jay and his team on a fence replacement. The company is very professional in its approach which made the project go very smoothly from beginning to end. Jay replied quickly to any questions I had before the job started and his team patiently answered my questions as the job progressed. An unexpected complication was large concrete blocks below ground where some fence posts were supposed to go, which added time to the project. Jay did not charge for the extra cost of having to deal with the concrete blocks, which included the removal and disposal of one concrete block. I am happy with the final product, and importantly, so are my neighbours who shared in the cost.

    Great job!

    Replace old femce

    This company was efficient from the very beginning. They answered my query promptly and sent someone out almost immediately to do an estimate. It took only 3 partial days to complete the work. They were very pleasant, efficient and left the property in a perfect state after completion. I am extremely happy with my new fence and would recommend this company highly.

    Fence and deck walk out

    Jay and Zach were absolutely wonderful to work with. Not only did they deliver on their timeline promises but they put a lot of passion into their projects. Our fence and stairs were actually terrifying and now they are beautiful!! I will be telling all my friends and fam to work with Green Side Up in the future, should they have outdoor landscaping needs. Thanks, guys!

    Backyard Fence

    Several sections of our backyard fence came down during the wind storm in March and again in May. We were fortunate to find Green Side Up through the many wonderful reviews on HomeStars. Jay answered my initial call and indicated that he was in my area. He arrived within 7 minutes and we were soon establishing a business relationship due in large part to his personable nature. Jay is very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. The quote we received was very detailed and fair; an estimated project start date was provided. True to his word, the project began on time. We had the pleasure of meeting some of the crew; Daniel, Matt and Grant. They were all extremely hard working, efficient, tidy and so very polite. We have had several of our neighbours comment favorably on our new fence. Thank you Green Side Up, we are extremely pleased and would definitely recommend Jay and his crew for a fencing project.     Front Yard Makeover

    We originally contacted Jay last fall to get a quote on a replacement of our front walkway and driveway. After discussing our requirements, Jay suggested that we engage a designer due to the complexity of the requirements. We hired a designer that Jay has worked with in the past (Margarita) and she produced an excellent design which incorporated the elements that we were looking for. With drawings in hand, we re-engaged with Jay and booked the work for the spring. We were Jay’s 2nd project this spring so Pat and his crew got started in early April. Due to the weird weather patterns that we encountered in April, the work had to be delayed a couple of times (i.e we had a snow storm after the initial excavation work was completed). Despite the weather issues, Pat and crew moved forward quickly and kept us informed of the progress through the various stages. Jay and Fleetwood also made regular visits throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that we were satisfied with every step in the process. We had scheduled another company to install irrigation and lighting systems and Pat effectively coordinated with them to make sure that everything was installed smoothly. I should mention that we used the Imperial Crew for the irrigation and lighting on Jay’s recommendation, and they were excellent as well (they aren’t on Homestars so thought I’d give them a shout out here). We are very happy with the way the project turned out (see pictures) and will certainly use Green Side Up again for future projects. I’m already talking to them about a fence replacement and new backyard patio
