    Retaining wall, fence and new patio

    Jay and Matt and the Green Side Up team did a fabulous job on our replacement wooden retaining wall and fence. We are absolutely thrilled with the result and the professionalism demonstrated by Jay’s crew! Even when the sudden onslaught of winter and extreme cold hit us in December 2017 the crew kept on working until the ground frozen solid and New Years was approaching. The new stone patio rocks! They kept their work areas organized and even set up a temporary fence to keep our dogs from leaving the backyard while the old fence was down and during the construction of the new retaining wall. They designed a cool new railing system for us as well to ensure bylaw compliance. We would recommend Green Side Up to anyone!

    Deck and Shed - highly recommend

    We have a terrific new deck and shed to enjoy care of Green Side Up! Jay was really easy to deal with and his quoting process provided the advice we needed to get the best result. His carpenter, CJ, took a lot of care and detail and this resulted in a high quality job. There were several decisions that needed to be made along the way and they were open and understanding to suit our needs. I would highly recommend them for any type of deck/shed work and they will be our go to for other outdoor projects.

    Back Yard Renovation

    Anybody who has done enough renovations knows that stuff doesn't always go perfect, but I always judge the strength of a crew based on how well they respond to make things right. Jay and his crew work hard to make things right.

    New fence and patio stones

    We hired Green Side Up to replace an existing fence and landscape our backyard approximately a 20 ×40 space. We found Jay to be very easy to work with and always answered my emails and text messages in under a hour. His foreman Pat was very professional taking his time and never wanting to rush any part of the job. I would recommend their service especially for people who live in the city and may be in close proximity to their neighbor's houses where construction can be more difficult -Andrew

    Interlock walkway

    I contacted Green Side Up contracting based on reviews and comments on this website. Jay is a pleasure to deal with. From the first communication to the last follow up call his concern was to make sure I was happy. Pat and his crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job with the base followed by the interlock. I feel that this job, will stand the test of time. I would highly recommend Jay and his team for any interlock projects you may have in the future. You wont be disappointed. Great Job Guys..

    Replace backyard wood fence

    Jay was very responsive and easy to deal with. We were worried about all kinds of perennials and roses we have right up against the fence possibly being stomped on. We didn't need to worry, as the crew was extremely careful and there wasn't even the slightest damage. Most importantly, they did great quality work too. My high expectations were exceeded in all areas. Highly recommended. Frank

    Front yard and walkway

    We hired Jay and his team to demo our concrete walkway and wooden retaining walls and replace them with interlock and Armour stone. Although there were several delays before the work actually began, once it was started it moved along quickly and we are very happy with the completed work. As no one was at home during the day when the work was being done, Jay kept us informed of the progress with frequent texts, photos and videos. This was much appreciated. The project did run into a potentially major issue right at the end but Jay went over and above expectations to ensure that we were satisfied customers. Thank you very much Green Side Up!

    AMAZING Backyard Transformation!!!

    We recently moved into our first house and loved everything about it-- except the backyard. It had been neglected for years and was just a mess. We called Jay and he quickly came out to take a look, walked us through our options and provided a thorough quote. Jay is personable, professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Despite the poor start to the season (ice storm!) his team managed to complete a full backyard reno--large deck, fence, and sod/landscaping-- within the very specific time frame we were working with. A big shout-out to Zach who did an amazing job creating our dream backyard! Neighbours have already been complimenting us on the craftsmanship of our new fence and deck. The quality of everything he did far surpassed our expectations. He also took the time to walk us through many aspects of the project, gave great advice and gave us an opportunity to change things/make decisions along the way. His attention to detail really stood out. THANK YOU for our new backyard! I highly recommend Green Side Up for any fence, deck, or yard work you need!!

    Fence Construction

    I've been dealing with Jay, who is very personable and accommodating, for several years. I recently asked him if he could fix a portion of my backyard fence and he told me it was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. His crew showed up on Monday and completely removed all the damaged fencing. The next day when I got back from work, a new fence was installed and completely finished. The quality of their work is top notch and I would highly recommend Green Side Up Contracting to anybody. Jay gets back to you quickly with a price quote, doesn't keep you waiting long to start construction and completes the work very quickly. The end result is a beautiful, well constructed fence that will stand the test of time. Well done and thanks again for a great job. Oksana Wyszatko
