    Backyard Fence

    Dan, Jay and their team did a great job with our fence. They were able to listen to what we were looking for and provide a finished product that was spot on. I would recommend Green Side Up to anyone looking to get a solid fence that will last for years.

    New cedar fence

    Stop searching and book these guys before they are full for the season! From the very beginning Jay was outstanding to work with and maintained a professional and friendly approach throughout the project. Good price, great quality work, super easy process, promises kept and timing exceeded expectation (we finished before their expected start date which was fair to begin with!) all with a smile and a few laughs along the way - not much left to ask for. The installation team was great - thank you Daniel, Corey and Bernardo. First class humans! If you want to hire them or work for them, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

    Interlocking Front and Back Yard

    We hired Jay and his team to help us with interlocking our front and back yard and removing our tree and fence. We are extremely satisfied with how our interlocking turned out. From start to finish, Jay and his team were incredibly professional, courteous, upfront, and tidy. They used high-quality materials and the quality of work was simply impeccable! They did an amazing job and we will not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. Thank you Jay and team, we are so happy with the final product!

    AMAZING DECK!

    Thank you to Jay and his team for a wonderful deck. Zach did a spectacular job building the deck of my dreams. I am so happy with my new deck. I love my new deck and I look forward to spending every day sitting on my deck and reading my book and enjoying the gorgeous view. I highly recommend Green Side Up for any work that you need around your house. A special thank you to Zach for being so thoughtful and so professional. Zach asks you and listens to what your preferences are when he is building the deck. Zach has more that fulfilled my expectations! I love my new deck!

    Deck renovation

    Green Side Up Contracting provided fine craftsmanship and service in renovating our tired old deck with new Trex, RainEscape, updating the railings and privacy screens, and reinforcing the deck structure with additional posts. They also have a great network of trades (such as electrical, interlock) who they bring into the picture as needed. I highly recommend working with Jay and his team.

    Backyard Renovation Warranty

    This is an updated of our previous review, aimed at emphasizing the exceptional professionalism and service quality provided by Jay and Zac. Their commitment to quality is truly commendable. In 2020, we engaged Jay and Zac to transform our entire backyard, encompassing the construction of a fence, deck, and balcony. Given that our house features a walkout basement, we opted to waterproof the deck and balcony floors to ensure that we could enjoy the space even during rainy weather. Although some water leakage occurred in a few sections of the balcony area, Jay and Zac promptly addressed the issue, despite more than a year having passed since the completion of the project. Their unwavering dedication to fulfilling and honoring their five-year warranty is remarkable. It is indeed rare and remarkable to come across a contractor who consistently upholds their word and is deeply committed to delivering top-notch quality and customer satisfaction. Without a doubt, Jay and his team are in a league of their own.

    Deck and garden

    Jay and his team were able to give me ideas to transform my backyard. I was kept up to date during the entire process. The project was completed ahead of the scheduled start time. All crews were great to deal with. They kept the site clean and organized. I would definitely use this company again for my future projects.

    Removal of old fence and install of new one

    Happy to say that we're completely satisfied with how our new fence and gates turned out with Green Side Up. Our experience with Jay started in February of 2023 by first using GSU's website and realizing that Jay puts his pricing front and center so everyone knows what to expect. And the added bonus of architectural designs and an immediate quote emailed to you left us impressed. I didn't come across any other company out there doing similar things as most will only give you rough numbers on a piece of paper in our experience. Jay and I spoke shortly afterwards and explained the work needing to be done on our large property. Removal of the old fence and installation of a brand new fence on each side of our property. He said no problem and was also one of the few that was willing to accommodate our backyard reno that would be going on around the same time that he was planning on starting ours (April). His sincerity, down to earth personality, long warranty, price, and the great number of positive reviews meant that myself and our neighbours agreed to sign up with him. Oh and another perk, no deposit or money until the work was completed. Nice. Jay sent Daniel and Cory to do the initial part of the job and they were professional and efficient with the work they did. Great couple of guys and had no problems answering any questions I had and making a few minor adjustments along the way. Once we were ready for them to come back to close off our fence and gates, they arrived when they said they would and the work was done just like before. The fence came out looking great and really helps accentuate the rest of the backyard reno. The work done was split between my two neighbours so the price shown is my portion and both have said that they were happy with how the work turned out as well. I will gladly recommend Jay and GSU for anyone looking for a new fence and I hope I can use them again for any other projects around our home. Thanks Jay!

    Backyard project

    Professionalism and friendliness from the first interaction until they closed the door. I cant say enough good stuff about Green Side Up Contracting. Starting from Jay giving us the quote, then Daniel and Cory building us a beautiful fence and finally Brandon, Greg and Rob making our dream backyard come true (stone work, flower beds and all our beautiful trees and plants). Few things I found amazing: - I didnt paid anything until Jay confirmed they were done and I was happy with the work. (Booked them a year ago and never worried about the money). - They stayed true to the quote and our budget. Never felt we were a bank machine to them. They tried to save us money where they could and if they couldnt they would inform us and asked us if we still want it. - We had them in our backyard for a month and they answered all my questions with a smile on their faces. Never made me feel insecure to ask anything. And believe I have lots of questions haha. - They were ahead of schedule (now we get to enjoy our backyard even longer). Overall we would choose Green Side Up Contracting all over again.
