Great company! Timely and professional. I own rental properties, so value in important for me and these guys were the best. Will use them again for any other properties and recommend them to those who need.

A1 Roofing replaced our roof at home in Mount Pleasant in January 2015. The process took a bit longer than expected as we ended up signing the contract at the end of November 2014. The A1 roofers did inform us that weather did push the work till the new year which was nice. We understand it a combination of favorable weather and good workmanship that yields quality work and appreciated the explanation for the delay. During the work, they did inform us of some unexpected cost that did push the expenses up as there were unforeseen issues (ie. beneath the old shingles they needed to rip out old roof shakes that also required additional plywood to be installed). There were extremely professional about the situation and provided us a discount on the removal of the material. Upon completion, during the walk-through we were surprised a portion of our roof (~ 10%) was not complete (it was part of an addition that required a “flat-roof” installation). Marc had indicated to us that was not included in the quote, however both him and I concluded that there was nothing via our correspondence that indicated that was not included. Marc took full responsibility for the misinformation, and immediately scheduled his crew to complete the work for the “flat-roof”. His team also address a couple of things that we noticed during the walk-through (ie. the addition of a missing fascia board, and the addition of a drip-edge). Recommendation for all, when getting the initial quote, please ensure the quote encompasses the entire job you expect. Ensure if there are areas that should be excluded or areas that are not included in the quote, it should be stated in the initial quote. Just be clear on what you are getting done and more importantly when is not included in the quote. Also ensure that you go through a thorough walk-through of the work performed. A1 Roofing did a thorough walk-through with us; that is crucial for you to ensure all work has been completed in a satisfactory manner. It was that walk-through where we got them to address the minor issues (missing fascia board, and the addition of a drip-edge) as well as “flat-roof” installation. All in all we are very satisfied with work A1 Roofing had completed for us. We appreciate that Marc took full responsibility for something that they missed during the initial quote and completed the work that needed to be done to finish the job. Though roofing is something that we don’t do very often, I would definitely recommend the job that A1 Roofing has done for us.

A1 Roofing replaced my old cedar shake roof with the Woodmoor shingles from Owens Corning. After extensive research I picked A1 Roofing for their price, value, customer service and warranty. I am very satisfied as they did a fantastic job on quite a difficult roof. At the start of the job, A1 Roofing encountered a challenge with the roof. I was very pleased with how they engaged me in solving the problem and they provided a technical solution that will give me confidence on my roof for many years to come. I highly recommend A1 Roofing for their craftsmanship and technical knowledge on roofing. I was very happy with the clean-up after the job as well.

The short story is that A1 did and excellent work. The roof looks sharp from all points of view, they were quick, efficient and very clean. Knowledgeable sales team helped me decide what was important from the fluff. They also gave me an excellent price. Very happy and highly recommended. Long Story: You don't replace your roof very often, so the day you do you need to choose the best you can afford. A1 was one of the 10 companies I requested a quote from, they sent Phil who not only took the time to do the quote but also explained every single detail in that quote so I can understand every aspect that goes into a roof replacement. Typically, companies give you a basic quote and load it with options. Some of these options should be part of the original quote and some others are true options, Phil made sure I understood everything correctly. Next, thing I did was equalizing the price in all the quotes based on the things that I thought were important for me. As you'd expect pricing was now very different from the original quotes I received. I also looked into those contractor rankings you could find on the net (like this). On thing that was important for me is that A1 uses its own employees to do the job, therefore there was an assurance that these people are experienced. After a bit of negotiation I've got A1 services contracted. They were flexible with the scheduled date and I've got my new roof on. Thanks

I received five different quotes. All similar prices, A1 provide in-person service with great explanations and options. From the man who visited our home to the shinglers, and to the work completed, all were exceptional, professional, polite and high quality. Thanks for a great job.
