    HVAC Service

    Appleby were the only ones that could help us...the service was amazing starting right from the office staff thru to the technician. I was so impressed by their concern, and the customer service. Everyone I dealt with were friendly, polite, professional - and I really felt they cared. They went above and beyond what they had to do to help us and our home is now comfortable and most importantly...safe. They were terrific.

    Furnace- service

    A friend referred us to Appleby Systems. We are so grateful! This company has excellent customer service, honest, reliable and efficient. It is nice to see a company who cares about there clients and follows up with them. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. They have been in business for years so you know you are receiving the experience, quality that you pay for. Thank you Appleby Systems!

    Furnace

    READ THIS - BE CAREFUL IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM. Parents in 90s :called for service. They both have Alzheimers Dementia and have income under the poverty line. Appleby replaced the furnace with a low quality new one but could have replaced the blower motor for $652. Requests were made to Bill, the owner that they correspond with myself or my brother going forward. The balance was paid with interest in three months as it took three months of income to save for it. Meanwhile Appleby had a lawyer sue my parents and repetitively sent legal documents to my parents house. They hid them and were recently found when they finally got in to a nursing home. This must have been very distressing for them. We contacted the owner and Simpson Wigle, the law firm to advise them of the circumstances but were told that we are required to pay an additional $1,838 to remove the lien on the title of the house even though the furnace had been paid in full with interest. The house is their only financial asset.

    Furnace maintenance

    The company visited my home for furnace maintenance on three occasions (2010-14) for water leaks. Furnace is 11 years old. The first complaint is that the company failed to do routine clean-outs each time of simple hose connections and a condensate trap. All these can be done by a homeowner btw, but we were never advised. For the latest leak, the technician quickly resolved it with a flush-out of the small plastic condensate trap. However, he then claimed there was a crack in the second stage heat exchanger, and tried to show me with his flashlight. He advised I needed a new furnace and estimated the cost. Seeking a second opinion, another contractor advised that there was no crack, and to find one in that location (or demonstrate to me), Appleby would have to remove the blower. That was never done because, Appleby warned, that was an all-day job, costing $1000, We now know that removing a few screws is all it takes. Appleby escalated the claim to Consumers Gas who are obliged to inspect and shut down the unit if faulty. CG also inspected the furnace and found no crack. The episode cost me $300. for initial and follow up visits.Maybe the company is honest, but Dan did not give good service.

    Fixing furnace

    Thanks to Appleby systems for their speedy service. We moved into our home over the summer and when winter came and it was time to use the furnace it wasn't working. This company responded immediately and order the part and installed it with in two days. Thank you for being so prompt.

    Furnace Repair

    Decent response time and competent service. However, this company charges around 100% mark-up on parts and builds in labour time that substantially exceeds actual time required, plus other "fine print" add-ons. In other words, you are getting gouged where you have no options because, hey, your furnace isn't working and what options do you have? However, you do have options if you haven't already called these guys into your house. My advice would be to look somewhere else..... just hoping others don't make the same mistake I made.

    Furnace repair quote

    Quoted to repair furnace. Quote was fair had the work been required. But the work was not required. Appleby systems tech informed us a serious component needed to be replaced when in fact it did not. The tech then tried to sell us a new furnace. I would definitely think twice before using appleby.

    New A/C and Humidifier

    We worked with Byron at Appleby (via Canadian Tire). He was prompt and polite. He gave us tips to help conserve energy. We were impressed with how quickly the job was book and installed. Within a few days of calling for an estimate we had our a/c installed and working (especially great considering the heat wave that day). We appreciated the hard work and the honesty of service. What sells a product is not the product but the person selling it. Definitely recommend the company.

    no heat in furnace

    No heat, 90 year old mother and phoned Reliance who couldn't come out until next day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m Appropriate response, time, courteous technician and informed and diligent. and Heat Again.
