Downspout drains are a major issue with Squirrels and Birds making them a home. Home builders have sheet metal on the bottom and sides, however, a lot of times the top of the drain is left open which gives access to the roof cavity or under a deck. To ignore Raccoons sheltering themselves under your deck leads to many issues. Raccoons quickly multiply every year and tend to go to the same locations for shelter through their lives. Sometimes just securing a porch roof doesn't keep Squirrels from finding other locations we warned about. It's a shame the roofers didn't do a perfect job. After we secured the area with a one way door you can be sure there will be no more issues with that location. Any Wildlife that has been trapped inside of any structure we make it top priority to remove safely. Wildlife removal for us is a year round event for us. Colder weather has us removing Wildlife from within a house, and warmer weather has us removing from around the house. Any decks, sheds, front porches and enclosures are prime spots for a female Raccoon with adolescent Cubs.
