First, tried to contact the manufacturer to see if it was under warranty. Then, came by to examine the broken vacuum. He provided various options and his installer came by to install a brand new unit (Aertechnica). I am impressed with the power and quietness of the new unit. Its 10x more powerfull than my Beam unit. I had a central vacuum installed a couple of months ago, and I'm loving the product. It's so quiet. After the installation was done, there was some mess left behind. It would have been nice had everything been cleaned up. There was a discrepancy of knowledge between the seller and installer regarding best practices of running the pvc pipes between floors. Nothing too worrisome on my behalf, but maybe the customer should do some extra research (can the return system be used for the central vacuum pipes?) The accessories package I was sold, may have been a bit overkill. It came with a carpet accessory, but I don't have any carpet. Was there a cheaper package without the carpet accessory that I wasn't notified about? Other than these three comments, I think everything is great! Highly recommended.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Our 20 year Beam Central Vacuum broke down . Marco was very informative and helpful in giving us our options and he was not pushy . He let us make our decisions . We decided to have the motor changed plus new filter instead of getting an entire new system since we have a small house . Marco came down himself , removed the unit and lent us a cannister vacuum to use . He brought back the unit and installed . The unit looked cleaner and almost brand new . Marco was very friendly and informative . He gave us details on how to maintain this new motor .Since the unit came with the house and we didn't know it required regular maintenance.Answer from pro:

When I bought my house 14 years ago it came with a built-in vacuum system which was at least 20 years old then with the same old hose and accessories then as now. The hose had taped up holes and the accessories were held together by duct tape. I did much research on-line but never liked any product enough to buy. Then I came across VacuumsPlus and Marco located on Spadina just north of King Street. Marco was easy to talk to and was totally knowledgeable about what I wanted. With no bother he was able to show me a package containing everything I wanted and made sure I knew how to insert it in the wall. He was confident the hose would fit in my wall outlet but also told me what to do if it did out work so that I would be able to get a replacement that would work. I was really happy to get this purchase out of the way and my cleaning woman was delighted with the new equipment. If my vacuum engine ever give up from old age I will go directly to see Marco.Answer from pro:

I just purchased a refurbished Miele vacuum from Vacuum Plus and it was a very pleasant and informative transaction. I came in not really knowing what I needed for my space and as soon as I stepped in, I was greeted and asked what I was looking for along with other key questions to help form their recommendations on the perfect vac for my needs. They showed me a couple units spanning the price range I had given them and they let me test out different products to see how they functioned which is rare if you were to go to any other big box store. I recently brought my Eureka AirExtreme canister vacuum cleaner to VP to see about replacing the motorized brush head which had stopped working. Marco advised me that because the model was discontinued, it would take a bit of time to have the replacement sent in. In the meantime, he loaned us a great canister vacuum to use while we waited for the part. The Eureka is now working far better than when it was new and that's because Marco replaced the brush head with an even better part. What a great surprise for us and shows real class-A customer service! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone looking for repairs or for a new vacuum. Ok Vacuums Plus. Quality Service! Read my story! I bought a Hoover Air Pro ™ Bagless Canister Vacuum from Walmart. For some time didn't give me problems. After only five months it began to smell very bad. I thought it was just a filter problem. So I cleaned the filters but unfortunately it wasn't that! So I searched on the internet to find a doctor for vacuums here in Toronto. The only one with 5-stars reviews was Vacuums Plus. I called and the guy of the customer service was so kind. He told me to immediately take the vacuum to the store stating that the consultation was free. So that day I brought my hoover by Vacuum Plus and met a great guy the owner Mr.Marco! Marco after reviewing the cleaner told me that was the engine that was burning. An overheating problem. So being under guarantee he assured me to send it to Hoover to replace the motor. I was already super happy with his solution offered at no cost. After only 10 working days I get an email from Vacuums Plus. I rush to the store and Marco greets me with a big Italian smile telling me he had a surprise for me. He managed to make me replace the entire vacuum cleaner with the tools included. In that moment I wanted to jump on him and hug him hard. I left Vacuums Plus with a BIG SMILE smile on my face. This is undoubtedly a 5 stars business! This is Vacuums Plus. I have had my Miele vacuum for almost 15 years now. It was a big investment for me at the time. I have always found it hard to find the right bags and support and then I found Vacuums Plus. The customer service is excellent. Great selection and very knowledgeable.Answer from pro:

I contacted Marco after the stellar reviews on Homestars and I was not disappointed! They came when promised, and came well prepared. My vacuum was clogged but I had some other issues with leaking outlets. Gino was able to fix it right away rather than having to come back for a second visit. I ended up purchasing a new hose as well. But there was absolutely no pressure to do so, which I appreciated. I'd definitely recommend VP to anyone needing vacuum repair!Answer from pro:
