The condo unit was built 24 years ago and the (17) ducts and furnace had collected significant hair from our cat, on top of the hair from the previous owners cats and dogs, plus the 'normal' dust bunnies.....
The airflow to the 3rd floor had become a joke and was considering a new furnace/air conditioning unit.
Now, after the cleaning, there is a great improvement to the airflow where I expect the heating and cooling costs to drop, maybe not in the extreme, but a savings nonetheless!
Home Depot advertised $189. for up to 10 ducts. As I have 17, the extra 7 cost $10. each. And it was my fault for not asking the price on cleaning the furnace while he was here, and I instructed him to do it, and then was a little surprised at the $130. charge on the invoice. As I have no comparison prices, I trusted Home Depot, and all in all, I was glad to have had the work done.
Camilo (Technician) was a rare pleasure to deal with. He was very respectful of his surroundings from the moment he came through the door, and I could tell I would not need to worry about him going about his business as he was treating my home as if it was his.
He was very professional and efficient, plus explained everything that I had asked about in very good detail and in language I could understand.
I wish I had a before and after photo to show, as the ducts look brand new now, and that is a dramatic change from before.
