    A/C Repairs ( Woodbridge ON)

    Our A/C went dead in the middle of a brutal heat wave. I first called another firm here and spoke with them July 4, 2020 who said they would call back. I called them 2 more times and left messages but no show. I do not know how this other firm got positive ratings here. I lost a valuable three days before finding SAM of Climax Air. On July 6 I called SAM who was was booked solid. Explained our family exigency, that A/C now rather critical. Sam said he would try. To our great relief Sam did call back and arrived promptly. Sam is professional in every way. He checked everything and diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit. I am impressed with SAM’s manners and his honesty. Sam is now the only person I call in future to repair or replace the system. Sam also gave sound and useful advice that made much sense. Thank you , Sam ! Adam , Woodbridge, ON Sam is VERY professional in every way. He came in, checked out the outside unit and then checked the furnace room. He was able to diagnose the problem and fortunately he was able to carry out the repairs on that visit in a time and cost-effective manner. I am very impressed with SAM’s manners, and Sam’s honesty. THIS is the first and only person whom I shall call in future, especially when I am ready to replace the whole system. Sam also advised me on possible governmental energy rebate programs, gave great answers to my questions, and his advice to me made much sense. Thank you , Sam ! Adam ,Woodbridge ON

    Air conditioning repair

    Our air conditioner stopped working on a Friday evening in the middle of a heat wave. We called Climax and Sam was at our place within the hour. Sam was courteous, professional and helpful. He diagnosed the issue, had the part required, replaced and tested the part within 45 minutes. Throughout the time he spent working on our air conditioner Sam was explaining to me what he was doing, what he was looking for and what it meant. He answered all my questions with courtesy and grace so that I never felt foolish. Before he left he let me know what to continue to watch for and how best to maintain my air conditioner. Overall I was left not only with a working air conditioner on a hot weekend but with a pleasant and easy experience. I highly recommend Climax and Sam to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation. Thank you again Sam!

    Replaced AC unit and furnace

    AC broke in the middle of a heat wave. Sam and his team were quick to respond to our call and came for an inspection within a few hours. Sam has great customer service, answered all our questions and provided recommendations without any pressure. We scheduled the work to be done and they came to install the following day. His team was professional, arrived on time and wore masks (during covid). They went above and beyond to remove the old and very large AC unit from our backyard. We hope we won’t need their service anytime soon but will recommend their company in future.

    New Air Conditioner

    During this July heatwave it became clear that my air conditioner wasn’t working - this was very concerning since my wife and I now have a 3 month baby and the heat had rendered us all sleeping/living/working in the basement. After a weekend of troubleshooting it became clear we were unable to solve the problem ourselves and we called Climax. Incredibly, Sam arrived about 30 minutes after we called and wes able to explain the problem almost immediately (leaking refrigerant due to corroded coils). Sam clearly laid out our options (the pros/cons/costs of repair vs replace) and we decided to replace our unit (as it was 12 years old) with a new energy efficient American Standard model. The Climax guys were back the very next day and Mo and Reza finished the installation in a couple of hours. As I now sit here in my nice cool house, it is hard for me to say what is more efficient: the energy usage of my new air conditioner or Climax’s service. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend their business.

    Sudden loss of AC

    I woke to a busted AC and decided to call a few companies around noon. Climax was the only one that could get a technician out the same day. Sure enough, Sam came by later in the afternoon and very quickly repaired a broken capacitor. I was also impressed that they take customers health seriously during the pandemic. Sam put his mask on every time he walked past me, which I certainly appreciated.

    Not So Cool House

    So my A/C started pumping warm air on Saturday and the wife wanted it fixed right away. I personally didn't want to fix it but hey, happy wife...happy life. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to call Climax on Sunday morning. That afternoon Sam came by and checked out the unit. After a thorough investigation and a leak test he advised a new unit would be the best way to go. There were many options and he explained them all in detail. He also noticed the unit was actually too big for the house and quoted me on the proper sized unit. He said he could have his team out to my place by Tuesday to replace it. The next day rolled around (Monday) and Sam called in the morning and he had an opening that afternoon. His install team showed up and did a bang up job installing everything. Very clean, very professional, very honest. It's now Tuesday morning and the house is chilly...just like the wife likes it! Thank you Team Climax and HomeStars for helping me find them.

    Air Conditioner Repair

    Our AC stopped working overnight. I left a message around 7am and Sam responded within 30 minutes. Said he would be there by 3pm, would call 30 minutes in advance, and explained the service fee. Sam delivered on all promises. He called, he arrived on time, he was polite and practicing all Covid protocols, and he fixed the AC super quickly. I would definitely recommend.

    new AC

    My old AC was not keeping the temperature and technician from the different company came for inspection and said that we need a new AC. We tried some companies but none of them wanted to give us a quote the same day. How will you fill in this heat wave? Likely for we found Sam. He talked to us, he listened to us and he was very helpful. Last talk on the phone with him was just after 10 pm. And the next day our new AC was installed and we are very happy with it. The team arrived exactly in time. They've been very professional and very good experienced. Thank you so much for your job.

    Air conditioning problem

    I called Climax Heating & Air Conditioning at 8 pm in the midst of a heat wave when our air conditioning unit conked out a couple of hours earlier. The problem seemed to be with the compressor fan which wasn't operating. Sam was at my house in less than half an hour and fixed the problem which was a capacitor. By 9 pm we had our central air functioning again. I greatly appreciate not only the timely service after hours but also the immediate diagnosis and rectification of the problem. For any future HVAC needs I will definitely contact and use this company again.
