    New Duplex Inspection

    We hired Chris to conduct an inspection of a brand new duplex in East Van. Chris conducted a very thorough inspection and provided his report the next day. Based on Chris’s inspection we walked away from the purchase even though it was a new build. I was shocked with the amount of deficiencies Chris pointed out in a new build and in the end we lost confidence with the build quality of the home. I’m very happy that we called Haystack for our home inspection and will use them again in the future.

    Hi, I appreciate your comments. Not all new builds are to the same quality. Some builders shoot themselves in the foot by trying to close the deal before the property is ready.     Home Inspection

    Chris is a knowledgeable and meticulous home inspector and is up to date on the latest safety codes. His reports are organized, comprehensive, and easy for a prospective buyer to understand. Besides being good at his trade, he communicates well and takes the time to explain things should you need further information.

    Apartment Inspection

    Chris did an excellent job with the Property Inspection prior to me purchasing the apartment. He was very thorough, and he provided a detailed report of all the issues and concerns in a very timely manor. He was friendly and took the time to explain everything to me. For my next purchase, I would certainly work with him again.

    Condo Inspection

    I bought my first home and was referred to Haystack Home Inspections. Chris was professional and great to work with. Fair pricing with amazing service. Being a first time home buyer, Chris made sure to explain everything to me in detail. Would definitely use Haystack again.

    Thorough home inspection

    Chris provided an extremely thorough home inspection. His detailed report really aided in deciding whether to purchase our first home or not. He also accommodated us into his busy schedule to ensure we had a proper inspection before closing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection. Thank you Chris!

    1406 Beach Grove Rd

    Very professional, informative and thorough service. Would definitely use them again and have no issues in recommending them to other. Chris performed the inspection in the allocated time and went through all of the items that we should pay further attention to. It was re-assuring to gain Chris's perspective of where to and where not to further investigate the deficiencies that were identified.

    Home Inspection

    Very thorough and professional inspection followed with a very detailed Manual highlighting any issues which we were able to use to negotiate a better price from seller. Chris was great to work with, honest and knows his stuff. Was great having the Manual with all the details also as we were able to tackle the issues he pointed out within the first few weeks of occupancy. Result, very happy new home owners with peace of mind. Thank you Chris!

    Condo Inspection

    Exceptional inspection, which helped inform my decision as a first time buyer. Chris performed a thorough inspection of both the condo and the common areas in the building (roof and garage and common areas where access was allowed). He answered both my questions and my agent's questions, and made himself available to answer follow-up questions free of charge. Ultimately I ended up not purchasing the condo, but I was able to make an informed decision, with extensive knowledge of the building and suite to back up my decision. The report was very detailed and would be a great reference document if I had purchased the home. Both in the report and in person, Chris informed us about whether particular repairs required were serious or not, which was very helpful as a first time buyer. He also went through the very long strata documents to give an opinion on the state of the building itself. Overall this was an excellent service and I will recommend Haystack Home Inspections to my friends who are also looking to buy, and will return when I end up purchasing my home!

    Home inspection

    Chris did the home home inspection for us first time home buyers! he was patient and thorough regarding our many inquiries. We didn't know exactly what to look for and Chris lended his expertise frequently helping us to alleviate some of our worries. Chris spent over 2 hours in the house and gave us a large digital report after covering all the good and bad. We ended up purchasing the home and it has been great so far!
