    Home Inspection

    Chris was very friendly and informative - he answered all our questions no matter how small and made himself available for any follow-up questions. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, making our first time home buying experience more settling. Highly recommend!

    New Home Inspectionq

    Chris at Haystack performed and excellent and thorough inspection of our new home prior to purchase and helped us uncover several critical issues. Will use again and recommend to others!

    House Inspection

    Chris is trust worthy when it comes to home inspection. He was able to accommodate my short notice for a home inspection on a house that I ended up purchasing. I picked him based on the other reviews I read here also word of mouth from my realtor. Chris was very thorough when he inspected the 50-yr-old house. The report he provided later showed great detail of the issues he found during the inspection. I'd like to share my positive experience with the rest of you who are seeking for a good home inspector.

    home inspection

    Chris is the best. In terms of the official service we paid for, he produced a comprehensive report listing everything we might need to know about a townhome we wanted to purchase, with an attention to detail that thoroughly impressed us. What really sold me on Chris, though, and the reason I recommend him to everyone, is the quality of his customer service. We were dealing with difficult sellers who were very picky about dates and times. As a result, for a period of about 10 days I would literally call Chris every day and give him an update, because the dates for everything were constantly changing. In short, we were not easy clients. Chris took it all in stride, and was extremely patient in spite of the difficult situation. He sent us a complete report within hours of the inspection, and followed up with a phone call during which he made sure we understood all the details. We are first-time buyers, and he made the process so much easier!!!

    Condo pre-purchase inspection

    Chris did a condo inspection in Gastown for us to help us decide on a condo purchase. He was very thorough and professional in his evaluation, communicates well and I would recommend him without reservation.

    Home inspection

    We used Chris from Haystack to do our inspection for our condo purchase and found him exceptional in giving us all the information we needed. His report was clear and precise and he has a gift of being able to explain things so that everyone understands the issues involved. After the inspection, the report was emailed us the next morning. We would not hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone making a home purchase, we will definitely use him again!

    Home Inspection

    Chris did a home inspection for us when we were shopping around for a house. His professionalism and field knowledge is second to none. He pointed out potential problems with the house after spending close to 5 hours on site. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris and Haystack Home Inspections.

    Townhome Pre-purchase Inspection

    After calling more than one top rated home inspector on HomeStars, I decided to go with Chris and Haystack Home Inspections. This decision was based solely on our initial phone conversation. Chris was very professional and asked a lot of questions to get all the information he needed. He treats you like a valued customer. He was also very accommodating with the time I requested. Chris arrived early and was very thorough. He would point out certain things to me throughout the inspection, such as where the main water supply switch is, details about the electrical panel, and areas where the laminate flooring was loose. The inspection was completed in about 2.5 hours and I received the report early the next morning by email. His report was very well organized with lots of pictures. He has a rating system for each item to let you know the severity of everything in the report. This makes it easy to prioritize what needs to be addressed. He even had recommendations such as getting a CO (Carbon Monoxide) Alarm. Based on Chris' inspection, I was confident in moving forward with the purchase of the townhome, knowing that the items that needed addressing were not deal breakers. Chris even followed up a few days later to see if I had any questions and ensuring me that I could always contact him if I had any concerns, even months down the road. All in all, I would highly recommend Haystack for all your home inspection needs.

    Home purchase

    Chris provided a thorough explanation of the report for our home inspection. The attention to detail was fantastic, and really helped me to understand where there were issues in the house. He followed up about a month later just to check up with us, and offered to give us advice on how to follow up with each action item. Overall, we had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend him to my friends.

    Condo inspection

    I first met Chris when he performed an inspection on a house that I was renting. I was present the day of the inspection and I saw the professionalism and great attention to detail that Chris applied to his work. I was so impressed that I asked him for a business card because I was also looking for a home to purchase and I knew I would need a good inspector. Exactly one month later I found the perfect home for myself and my son. I immediately called him to ask if he was available to do the inspection on short notice and he was more than happy to oblige. I was very satisfied with the results and decided to buy the home so thank you Chris for making sure we were well taken care of. I would recommend this company to anyone and would hire Chris again in the future.
