With 2 dogs, the back yard was a mud pit. Emileo accessed the situation, made recommendations and most importantly, listened to my concerns and stayed with-in budget. The project was completed in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction. I would recommend Emileo and True North Landscaping.

I needed to plant some hedges on my property for privacy on short notice. I contacted Emilio and he was super nice. He was really busy and this was not really his scope of work as I found out later, but he really tried to fit me into his schedule. Since the area I wanted to have privacy required a specific height, he had to build a really big and tall planter box and plant the hedges in them. His workmanship is great and he's a genuinely nice guy. I would definitely recommend him.

Based on my negative contractor experiences, relied upon Homestars to find a few contractors to do landscaping. Solicited a few and Emilio was one of them. Quick summary: Fantastic workmanship and Emilio is a stand up, hardworking and honest guy. Details: It is very clear that Emilio takes pride in his work as it shows in the details of his workmanship. He keeps communication open and does what others “say” they do but don’t; specifically, he listens to what we wanted and we bounced ideas off of each other throughout the process. End result is better than what we expected and the whole experience in dealing with Emilio was without any headaches. What had started with a base level scope of work, expanded due to the comfort level we had with Emilio. Definitely money well spent and he accommodated us throughout. Work he did: - Preparing the site for landscaping (and did he ever need to prepare the site since it was a wreck for an extended period of time from a complete house reno). - Retaining wall work using Allan block style bricks and using such for steps in multiple areas. - Demo of a dilapidated garage and creation of an additional parking pad. - Installing pressure treated wood as dividers between neighbouring properties - New lawn using sod. - Paving stones/stepping stones work. - Building privacy fencing for a basement suite. - Fencing for backyard (note: all fencing was clear cedar strips and had to be hand built; not prefabricated cedar panels) I don’t want to get too much into the work since seeing the work will speak to it better than I can; will be including pictures soon. This review may sound over the top, but it truly reflects how we feel about the great work that Emilio has done for us.

Emilio and his team stepped in after I had begun to burn out from tackling a huge home re-landscaping project on my own. He proved to be a great communicator and was able to complete the vision I had for my home. We look forward to working with him again to finish the work that had to be held off due to the encroaching winter season.

Emilio and his team did a significant job for my parents as they moved into a new home. The yard was in "rough" shape and in need of character. The vision that he had to turn this into a livable space was amazing! Thanks again for a job well done!!

Before I went ahead with this project I gathered several quotes from competing companies. True North Landscaping was one of the least expensive quotes. Meeting Emilio and examining his past work, I was instilled with confidence that his company was the one I want doing the job. My selection paid off. True North Landscaping was, on time, quick and on budget for this project. I would highly recommend Emilio and his company True North Landscaping to friends and family, and would use him again for any future projects.

We used True North Landscaping to add privacy hedging to both the front and rear of our house as well as building a custom cedar fence and gate on the east side of our property. Emilio was great to work with, he has excellent communication with his clients. For example, Emilio was testing ideas we had for the fence he would do the test, take a photo and send it to me for feedback as he was working. The results were exactly what we wanted. The work was completed quickly and on budget, we are very happy with his work, I would definitely recommend True North Landscaping with 100% confidence.

When I moved into my new home there was a back yard but it had no personality. True North Landscaping was able to come to my home and create a design that was not only imaginative but functional for my lifestyle. The yard looked great and also low maintenance. These fellows worked fast and I would most defiantly have them again.

Emilio knew just what to do to prepare the perimeter of the house and the entire driveway for our concrete framers. It was a mess of cracked asphalt and red-bricks which we were replacing with new concrete driveway and path. He brought in a container and a small digger and completed all the work on his own very efficiently. Thank you for all your help Emilio!
