My wife and I have been waiting years to renovate our washroom and add an ensuit and were always worried about hiring the wrong company and having all the what if's... lucky we met Moe with kay 2 and things went really smooth. They were on schedule and created the least amount of dust and debris. We're very happy with the end result and everyone that comes over love how it turned out. We have two kids in the house and now we're so glad we don't have to fight over who's going in first. Thanks Moe and kay2 employees.

Numerous call backs to fix mistakes and correct deficiencies. Even after taking the back ordered carpet into account, they still finished weeks behind schedule. I won't use this compsny again.

This review is for a project completed 3 years ago (fall 2015). We bought a house without a garage and hired Kay2 to build a new double garage in the backyard for us. Moe was excellent to work with and his crews did a good job on the project. They helped out with some demolition of an old deck in the workspace and also helped with disposal. Overall the build was well managed and the project was completed on schedule with no cost changes. One year following the completion of the garage we were having issues with the opener that was installed. We called Moe and he came out personally to check it out. The opener was replaced with a different unit and the issue never returned. We would consider Kay2 for future projects in or around our home.

Kay2 and Moe were great. We had some challenges with our backyard being on a slant and rather than offering us some outrageous solutions, Kay2 and Moe worked out several options that fit within our budget and offered other options if we wanted to spend a bit more. During the project everything went off without a hitch. When obstacles came up, rather than bothering us, the Kay2 team figured things out and let us know what happened - all without additional cost to us. This type of service is what we wanted and Moe's team delivered. If you're looking at doing a backyard project be sure to give the Kay2 team a call. You'll be happy you did!

We bought a home with an undeveloped basement in the summer of 2017. After getting settled our major project for the year was to develop the basement as one space with zones for music (including 24+ guitars, stereo, piano, etc.), reading area, and a TV/gaming area. I tried 4 companies - two replied that not only would they not do anything for less than a $50K budget, there also had to be a bedroom and bathroom in the basement. The third company also reiterated there must be a bathroom. We already have three bathrooms in the house with one at the top of the stairs leading directly to the basement. K2 not only said they were happy to work within our budget but as we weren't putting in a bedroom, we certainly were not required to install a bathroom. Moe came out the next day to view the space and provide a quote. He also had some fantastic suggestions to maximize the useable space, including moving the door to the utility room by utilizing a pocket door along another wall. He provided much better ideas for lighting the area (LED recessed lights on three dimmers so we could light the whole area or individual zones, as much or as little as desired. He listened to our need for a very large closet to store the guitars, amps, etc., and created an extremely workable closet allowing room for all the guitars as well as some additional storage shelves above. He also suggested acoustical soundproofing in the ceiling. Lastly he understood the need for sufficient outlets so that when the band practices/plays all the equipment doesn't overload the electrical panel breakers. Trever was the Project Manager for the construction and did a fantastic job. He answered any questions we had, promptly addressed any concerns ( there were only two minor ones), and immediately informed us of any change orders or delays (the electrician recommended an additional six lights and they were unable to source/match the carpet on the 2nd floor and brought us 3-4 samples of alternatives). Moe and Trevor provided timely project updates, daily reports, and cost tracking. They were professional and knowledgeable and the project was on time and on budget. I am happy to provide referrals and have in fact recommend them to a couple of friends for future project.

Moe was very professional in our first meeting. He answered my questions regarding permits if needed and also informed me about things I did not consider. He was very knowledgeable. The workers were very respectful, and even asked us at certain times during the build our opinions of how we wanted things. Another reason for considering them is there warranty. As time goes things can shift and it's reassuring knowing that they will return and fix it.

Very pleased with Kay2 Contracting. We hired them to renovate our main floor and they did an exceptional job. Clean and well organized crews. Thanks agian for the great work.
