    Reinstall/fix bathroom sinks

    After buying our condo, we started finding problems with the plumbing. We decided to call Drain 1 after reading so many positive reviews and we can definitely see why. We have called this company for 2 different plumbing issues and have been extremely satisfied both times (fixing a leaking shower behind drywall and tile as well as his/her bathroom sinks that had not been installed properly). The team that had come in charged a fair price and were very courteous and respectful of our home. They also took the initiative to explain the problem and what they had done to solve it. They were also very willing to give some great advice on some of our future projects. I recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs!

    Laundry closet new water.

    The work requested was done extremely well and promptly by very professional plumbers.     Clogged toilet, sub pump installation, leak in basement

    We have had Pavlo solve a couple of plumbing issues and he has always done a great job. From start to finish he is punctual, professional, knowledgeable, skilled and fair. We would recommend him without hesitation!

    Drain pipe replacement

    Pavlo successfully diagnosed a problem that was causing drain blockage. His team then excavated old external drain pipe that was badly connected to the pipe coming out from the house and causing drain blockages. The job was done quickly, professionally, without any mess left behind. Communication with him was a pleasure as well.

    Unprofessional and incompetent

    ** Update - 3 hours after posting my review the owner Pavlov decided to reply not on this site, however write a 1* review out of vengeance on my Google business account attacking myself and my husband. The title above says it all and one can tell the most about a company on how they deal with their customers. Original Review: We dealt with this company a few months ago and I needed a breather before even writing a review. Even a 1 star is too high. It had to be the most difficult dealings we have had with a company. From the non existent communication, to leaving the lockbox unlocked on one occasion (vacant property), to completing 2 items not to code, to being lazy in not finishing one portion of the job. Instead of doing the job as requested, they did in their manner, without any communication with us. Make sure everything is included on your quote, and in detail. Anything verbally discussed, but not included will not be done or will be modified without your approval, and they will hide behind the quote. They initially took responsibility for their incompetencies, and then the next conversation blamed us, the client. We had hire another company to fix the insufficiencies. Yes, they may give a ‘cheaper’ quote, but the cost to fix the actual work plus the time to micromanage the job makes this company the most expensive out there. I would not trust with any plumbing work.

    Has no respect to any trades. Customer got a written quote to do plumbing job in their house, then they decided to go ahead with our company, we converted quote to an invoice and did the job according to a job description, upon completion of the job they demanded more work to be done that was never on the quote or the invoice, but did want to pay any additional charge. They did not want to pay the balance at all, paid 300 less then agreed and had it in writing, nightmare customer. Stay away from realestate Lori Ann Toplak and her husband Sandor Tolpak.

    Drain replacement

    My washing machine drain was backing up every time the upstairs shower ran. Turns out that the drain was full of tree roots. The Drain 1 team replaced it in one day and did a very good job. I am happy with their work.

    Drain 1 is excellent!

    Getting a plumber on a Sunday night isn’t easy - Drain 1 provided excellent service. They were prompt, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend them.

    Emergency major repair

    My plumbing backed up in the middle of the night on a weekend during the COVID-19 pandemic. I called Pavlo and he sent a guy out as soon as possible to investigate and discovered that there was a major break in our sewer system on our property. He arranged for a crew to come out Monday and begin repairs and explained the whole process as things were progressing and discussed the best course of action. He filed all the permits for me as well as help me with the rebates from the city. He managed to have the entire project done in 2 days (sump pump, back flow valve, replacing all pipe from under the house to the mainline which also included having to dig up concrete). He and his whole team were fantastic explaining everything and answering any questions I may have. You can tell they are very professional and are technically very skilled and really put your mind at ease. They definitely care about helping you. I would highly recommend his services for any plumbing issues you may have

    Basement Bathroom/Backwater Valve/Kitchen Rough-In + Lateral Sewer Line Replacement

    I submitted an online form for Bathroom/ Kitchen Rough In and Pavlo responded to my inquiry within hours. He was able to come give a quote the next day. When he arrived, he took a look at my plans, and with his knowledge, he was able to recommend some re-routing of lines as well as better placement for my rough-ins, which were an improvement of what I initially presented. He also gave general advise for the rest of my basement reno's which were unrelated to plumbing which was a plus. Pavlo gave me a price and gave me time to decide. I did not feel pressured at all. I ended up accepting the bid. After work started and the concrete slab was being demolished, Pavlo ran the camera to check my existing lines and the main sewer line. Unfortunately, he found that there were roots growing through my clay pipe in 3 sections, as well as a portion of the line which sunk. Pavlo explained the potential outcomes but could not say for sure if the sewer line failure could happen in 1 month or 10 years as there were too many variables. He explained the cost to do it via. Pipe Bursting now while one end was open in my basement, vs Digging a trench 40 ft long, 10 ft deep when it finally fails. Again, there was no pressure to decide, but I decided to get it fixed now. Since this was a big unexpected expense, Pavlo was kind enough to be flexible with payment. Overall, I am very satisfied with Pavlo and his team. I would use Drain1 again for future plumbing needs.
