I had to make an emergency call recently after a 40-foot spruce in my backyard was uprooted by weight of snow and ended up leaning against my roof. Despite being busy with several storm calls, Darryl was able to come to the property and provide an estimate the same day, and book the job for three days later. The crew arrived on time and began setting up. They had intended to use a large crane to lift tree sections over my roof to the front yard but a careful assessment of the setup - putting safety above all - determined that the plan had to change. Using a spider-lift (a cool machine that was able to squeeze through a 34-inch gate opening), the tree was limbed and cut into smaller sections in the backyard and carried out front manually to be chipped. The work was done efficiently and the cleanup was thorough. The price was reasonable and Darryl even included some trimming of two other evergreens. He is friendly, provides detailed explanations and is great at problem-solving. Very satisfied, would use Upanoak again!

We were very pleased with the work that Darryl Stevenson and his team from UpAnOak Tree Care performed at our home. Professional, friendly and courteous from initial estimates through scheduling, set-up, execution and clean-up. They used an ingenious compact articulating spider lift to get access to trim a large backyard tree that was starting to get too close to the house. We would highly recommend this company to friends and neighbours and we would certainly use them again for any other tree maintenance work.

Darryl and his team arrived on time and proceeded to remove the tree in a safe and professional manner. The limb removal and clean up was thorough and complete. Great job at a reasonable price.

Had an emergency 72 hour order from the City to remove dangerous tree branches that fell on power lines to the house. I called at least a dozen companies and left voicemails with all of them. They either returned my call too late or not at all. Daryl from Upananoak Tree Care not only answered my call immediately, but also completely understood the urgency of the situation having experience dealing with City inspectors. I sent him pictures of the damage and I had a extremely reasonable quote within hours. They scheduled my appointment for the next morning! A whole team of personnel and vehicles arrived on time and had the work completed withing an hour. They cleaned up all the debris immaculately. In addition, there was follow-up correspondence. I have more work to be done in the near future and will not even consider any other company. Kudos!!

I was referred to Upanoak from a friend who was extremely happy with the tree removal services of this company! When I had a tree fall in my backyard, she highly recommended I contact Upanoak! When I met with Daryl the owner of the company, I could tell he was very knowledgeable, professional, personable and his quote was fair and less than another quote I had received. Him and his team were punctual, considerate, easy to communicate with and did an outstanding job removing a fallen tree, the debris and pruning overgrown vines from an upper balcony. I was extremely satisfied with the work they did and would definitely use them again if I needed this service and would as well recommend to friends.

Twice I've had Darryl out for service both times he did a great job and clean up. Last time he was here I asked for a magnolia tree...was told he would order it...its been 2 yrs..and I get no contact unless I email first...I was even told he forgot...I guess getting my money before was great but it's just a tree so he can just forget about me... Do I recommend..no way (I have 2 couples who need work done)...told them my complaint I originally picked him because he played ball w my son and love to help new businesses I feel unimportant Time to find someone reliable

Had the pleasure of contracting services for removal of three small stumps. Work was executed professionally and will hire them again

Trees removed and stumps ground down. Excellent communication right from the initial request. Darryl and his crew made time to show up a few days earlier. Trees were cut and removed (chipped). Stumps were ground down to 10 below the surface. The entire area was cleaned up and looked better than before they started! Great people and a great company. Honest and reliable. I highly recommend Upanoak!

Darryl saved at 125 year old willow tree, damaged from within, with a scary seam and deep crevice full of disease. I am 60 and had been loving this tree since I was 4 years old. He injured it properly to give it more life maybe another decade or more... like he saved a dying tree, and gave us notes as to how help sucker it back, creating a natural mulch agenda and protocol. He understands civic arbor policy and knows permits like no other. He is an avid diplomat regarding humans tress and civics. The tree by the way is flourishing as if it is 15 years old. Imagine if humans could regenerate after extreme age and illness? I have worked with over a dozen arborists since 2000 and Darryl is the one. Fair and Square. Beyond knowledgeable, beyond decent. The guy should write a book. Magician! And he beat everyone else's quote with a passion for the arbor. Trees and Tree lovers come first

Darryl responded quickly to my call. He and his team cut down a tree, ground the stump, and removed all the wood, leaving the area neat and tidy. He seems to be a reliable, responsible, conscientious and hard working man. I would call on his help any time.
