I normally obtain at least 3 quotes before engaging a contractor for any sizable job. In this case, I hired Carlo of the Stone Contractors Group for this project though his was only the second quote. His quote was $1200 less than the other one, but more than that, Carlo inspired confidence that he could do the job properly and efficiently. He showed up with his apprentice on the day promised, and completed the job within the promised time frame, though one day was lost when they arrived late just as rain began to fall. I was very pleased with the overall solidity and finishing of the rebuilt steps, and with the repair of the cracked concrete front porch. When I brought to Carlo's attention that there were some tar deposits left on the steps, and that one step was not secure, they returned the next day to rectify the problem. No argument, no hassle. It was a pleasure dealing with Carlo - he was always pleasant, knowledgeable and professional, and he offered valuable advice on a related project, the installation of railings.

We had outside brick walls that required repairing. We have had other repairs done to one of the walls in the past by another company but the problem seemed to persist. We have used Carlo of Stone Contractors Group for another project last summer so we decided to contact him again and we could not be happier. Carlo and his team not only did what was requested from them but also went above and beyond what was agreed to in the contract, always providing professional advice and going that extra mile. Carlo and his team did a fantastic job with the extensive work required to rebuild the porch. He is very professional and detail oriented. He was very understanding of delays caused by my other project and rescheduled couple times. I went with this team based on reviews here and I can confirm that they exceeded my expectations. Decarlo stoneworks is a very reliable and professional company. To date, I have used their service twice, to perform repair work at my home in Toronto. The first time was in 2013 and I am still very happy with the outcome. Always deliver as promised on their proposal. I strongly recommend this company. The work was good and completed in the time expected. Work site was left relatively clean.

The mortar gaps and crumbling mortar around the house were repaired as well as the cracks in the garage columns, along the window sills and garage side door. Carlo and his crew were very professional, honest and even came back to follow up on the work done. They showed great pride in there work and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work.

Stone Contractor's Group are the best. They have done two jobs at my house and both times, prompt, professional, and excellent workmanship. Recently they transformed my living room with a beautiful stone wall surrounding my fireplace. Would recommend this company in a heartbeat.
