Dealt with Paul on the phone. He scheduled me for the work within a week. His team of 3 came as scheduled and got the work done very quickly and professionally. I needed 10 holes dug for 4 x 4 posts. I would highly recommend them for fense post jobs. They provide a 5 year warranty as well. Pleasure doing business with them.

Last week I hired Good Neighbor Fence to handle the fence job on my property. The project included several parts. First they removed the old fence. Incredibly they were able to remove the fence without damaging the blacktop driveway that butted up against it. Good Neighbor then built us a custom 72’ long privacy fence with 6x6 posts, 2 custom gates and an 8’ long pergola. In addition they repaired the fence at the rear of my property, replacing 4 posts, the top rail and a gate. They also moved an 8 ft section of my old fence back four feet and built a 21 foot extension perfectly matching what was there. Their price was competitive, they arrived when they said they would and completed the entire job, with a huge crew, in just 2 days. The workmanship is of the highest caliber. FYI - I read one negative review on Homestars and I’d suggest taking it with a grain of salt. Brent, Chris, Paul and the rest of the crew were polite, professional, answered all my questions and did a really great job. They even quickly, politely and intelligently handled a sensitive neighbor situation. No question, I highly recommend Good Neighbor Fence. Thanks again guys!

Admittedly, i was a little bit nervous when every company I called gave me a 5-6 week lead time and Paul indicated that he could have a crew over in the next week. hmmmmmm, why are these guys available.....? The crew arrived on the promised date, calling me in the morning a couple of times to keep me in the loop on their estimated time of arrival. Brent and team did an excellent job, they were friendly and quick and they educated me on their work while they were doing it. They cleaned up the site once complete and took all their garbage with them. Don't be nervous about having them showing up earlier than everyone else you contact (and I called 10+ other companies in the Hamilton area alone). They have more crews on the road which gives them the ability to show up sooner than their competitors. I would absolutely recommend them.

WARNING, WARNING, DANGER! I can’t believe what I just went through. Ontario One tells you on their website and over the phone to not place a call to check for underground utilities but to ask for the contractor to place the request because you are liable. That meant if I placed the call to Ontario One and Good Neighbor Fence & Post blows up the house next door I am responsible. Foolish me, I followed government recommendation and asked Good Neighbor Fence & Post to call Ontario One. That was when things changed. The usual cheerful and helpful Paul changed he said he only calls Ontario One on Fridays, he would have to reschedule and could not give me a date. After much delay with no fences and wood stocked up in my driveway, Good Neighbor Fence & Post showed up to dig. That was when I really felt the pay back for making Good Neighbor Fence & Post call Ontario One. Here is what happen… • They refused to drill three holes because it was too close to the gas line they said they had a policy of 2 ft. I measure it and it was 23 inches, plus there were existing post holes between where I wanted the new one. Three holes not dug. • They said they had to drill one by hand because it was too close to the gas line, again in line with an existing post and greater than 2 ft. That Cost $50. • They drilled only 3 ft. down, their website says 4 feet. (I measured) • One hole was close to a tree and the equipment could not get through a root, so that hole is only 2 ft. down. • Thank goodness the children were at school for all the bad language being used. Frankly I was shocked at the language. An outsider may think this punished for following the governments recommendation displays terrible customer service Good Neighbor Fence & Post. I am firm believer in online reviews and prior to selecting Good Neighbor Fence & Post I did my research finding good reviews. One would wonder who wrote those reviews?? Because I believe in providing honest reviews, DO NOT USE Good Neighbor Fence & Post you will regret it.

Amazing! The crew came in and immediately went to work taking down the old fence and started on the new posts right away. The next day, the new fence went up. Just like that. They were quick, efficient and clean. I will definitely have them come back and have told my friends about Good Neighbour Limited.

The men just left and the job is excellent. They consulted with me throughout the work, starting before they dug a single hole. The made sure of the property line and then they installed the posts perfectly. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Paul and crew a year ago to replace a gate fence post. As I stated in my first review I would use this company again and I did. During a very windy day a couple of weeks ago I noticed my fence leaning a little too much. Two fence posts needed to be replaced. I contacted Paul via email and within 24 hours the posts were replaced and debri removed. A potential disaster thus avoided. My fence is about 25 years old so no doubt I will need this service again in future. Thank you Paul for your professionalism and expertise.

Paul was great to deal with, responsive on e-mail and quick to quote. Brent and Sandy did an excellent job on installation day and worked with me to decide how to best layout and install the gate since it is a unique space. After a great initial experience, I aim to hire Good Neighbour again this year to remove my existing fence and install a new fence.

Good Neighbour repaired a section of my fence. Brent and his team were polite and professional. They had to move a few heavy items around in order to repair the fence, and once done they put everything back. The fence looks great. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.
