Hi Mr. Del Pino, It's Diego replying to you directly.
When we first met at our showroom and decor studio, I personally explained all the details of our comprehensive scope of work, floor plan and agreement. Nothing was hidden or misled. No high pressure tactics for signing. The payment schedule was always clear and you agreed to pay on time.
We served you with great pleasure, like we always do with all customers. It is very unfortunate we couldn't have a great experience working together on this project.
The 1st payment was due when we started demolition on Aug 17 but got paid on Aug 21, 5 days later. Then all weekly payments were always late. When the project was about to be completed, a week before completion, the 4th out of the 5th payment payment was due, we advised that if we didn't receive it on time, the project was going on hold until we receive the payment and were able to reschedule our trades, you mentioned that the personal cheques were ordered but didn't arrive and that we had to wait, and if hat to stop the project you were fine with it. We asked you could buy another bank draft or certified cheque like before, but you said you didn't have time and didn't want to pay 20-30$ fee at the bank. Did we stopstopped the project? No, we did not, we continued without payment again, we buidbuild from 10 to 15 projects at the same time and we know that if we stop, who knows when we can go back. Then this review wasn't going to be a 2-Stars but 1*
The project was completed within the 4-6 weeks allowance we have for all projects. On time!
We have many honest 10-Star reviews here in HomeStars from very satisfied customers, anyone reading this comments from Mr. Del Pino will understand that we couldn't please him because we didn't do things for free, we order always extra materials so trades don't run out in the middle of the job, the agreement indicates that all leftover materials belong to Harmony Basements. It's also noted that we don't install appliances or electronics.
We're very compassionate, fair and honest Mr. Del Pino, you forgot to mention that we helped you correct a structural issues we found in the basement support beam after demolition was completed, at no additional cost. You shared with us that you'd extended to the limits with this quality basement renovation and couldn't afford to buy anything else; so why not help a value customer! Unfortunately we couldn't absorb a few other things. We couldn't cancell the new egress window you had in our agreement for 2 reasons: 1. liability purposes, because it was for a bedroom so it's a requirement.. and 2. We custom custom ordered it right after you signed the agreement.
As per the cheaper vendor for the entrance, you dealt directly with him, we don't do illegal separate entrances without engineering drawings and permits. you paid him directly and knew that the interior of the opening required to be fixed, and to modify the staircase. Our trades had a work order based on the agreement, anything above that, you know that was extra.
We hope you enjoy this new basement for many years to come, and if you ever need anything related to the project just completed, such as a warranty service call, please do not hesitate to contact our support line, and a technician will be with you promptly.
Thank you for your business!
