Really thankful for John and his company, JMC, for helping me out with this job. I contacted multiple contractors and few were willing to take on the job as they considered it too small or, if they were, wanted to charge me an astronomical fee for it. I was getting desperate as I had neither the tools nor experience to do a proper job myself. Fortunately, I met John through Homestars and he was nice enough to take time out of his busy schedule to do this job and at a price that I considered reasonable and fair. Not only that, the end result of his labour was a beautiful looking set of stairs that was build extremely well and very solid. I know now that the old stairs that I had to rip out and replace due to another project were shoddy in comparison. I would hire John again without a second thought and I highly recommend him for his professionalism, excellent workmanship and fair prices. Thanks again JMC!

I am an Interior Designer and site supervisor for renovations and have worked with JMC contracting on many projects. So, when it came to renovating my laundry room I called John of course. He is an experienced carpenter and his attention to detail is second to none. He pointed out solutions to site situations that I hadn't even considered. His work is done on time and budget. I have worked with him for a few years now and would recommend him to anyone looking for quality and skilled carpentry in any job capacity.

John is professional and courteous. He offered solid advice and the final product far exceeded our expectations. We had a bit of a tricky job. We had removed the wall between a bedroom and the livingroom. We wanted to keep our 1930s wooden floors and match the 1930s trim in the dining room that had been damaged during our renovation. He matched the flooring and restored and matched the trim. The final look is beautiful. John also built our front porch and side gate. He offered great advice on both projects as we weren't entirely sure what we wanted. John arrived promptly each day. He worked all day, and left our house in good order when he left. We highly recommend John to all of our friends and family. A good person. An excellent carpenter.

JMC was hired to complete a privacy fence and fence in a new section of our property. It was completed quickly and beautifully. We constantly get compliments on it. We are very happy with John and his team and always recommend him.

We were pleased with John's work. He was very particular about the details of his work. Poles were perfectly vertical and all joints and boards were tight and square etc. He finished on budget and on time leaving the site neat and tidy. We would highly recommend JMC

An absolutely beautiful deck with very complicated stairs. John did an absolutely incredible job, our deck turned out far better than we could have imagined! He went above and beyond, was super with his attention to detail. He is honest, trustworthy, on time, on budget, and has a great personality to boot!!! I would recommend JMC to everyone I know! A fabulous experience for a very big project. We are so happy with the work.

JMC renovated my basement They framed it out, hung the doors and installed all the trim to perfection. John also repaired my deck, what seemed like a difficult task he made it look easy and I'm more than happy with the result. I would highly recommend John and his crew. Everything ran smooth from start to finish.
