Great property management company. I rented a home with them for 2 years and they have been great. They have great service and the staff is very friendly. Every time we had inspection the person that did that was very friendly and respectful.

Royal York PM agreed to find me tenant based on criteria and refused to add that condition on the agreement. I was given confirmation that we will still be able to find tenant with your condition you have. They could not find a single tenant with that condition for a month and now asking to pay for that service which they never gave. Cannot believe such company when they are just there to grab your money.

I have dealt with Royal York Property Management for several years. They are professional, courteous and diligent in maintaining and renting your property. If you are looking for a property management company, come to RY without delay. Thanks RYPM.

Absolute nightmare! I will stay far far away from them. As a house owner, I was approached by Royal York and convinced by their sales rep to try them out. This is where the nightmare begins. I felt that all my rights as a owner is stripped away the moment I said yes for their service. Their internal system is chaotic, no one seems to care about my property. They devalued my rental price and told me it would attract quality tenants to rent cheaper, they told me that they will select tenants and negotiate the price after. They ended up convincing me to list my entire detached house way lower than market price and my desire price. They promised to take professional photos, but the photos were so unprofessional that it made my detached house look like a basement, they missed to take numerous part of the house. As a result, the price does NOT look competitive next to a basement that's lower in price and half the size of my property. I had to call them to mention all my concerns and made suggestions to improve the listing. That aside, the leasing account "manager" never communicated anything with me; arrogant and ignorant. All I did was wait, and ended up wasting months. I do not know much about them, even though they promised 24/7 phone service, my leasing account "manager" or team who know about my property was never available for calls, the leasing manager text me one day and saying that he doesn't want to waste my time (very interesting). I was thrown away like a hot potato. I never received any payment after the lease agreement is initiated, but no one seems to care. I don't feel respected as a owner. Unreasonable conditions were mentioned by tenants and they enforced it on me. The internal management is chaotic. Absolutely horrible communication, not worth the high commission price. Not have a good experience with them.

Im not one to write reviews but this experience definitely warranted one. I hired Royal York to help me find quality tenants for my condo. They kept passing me around to different personnel and so communication was difficult and confusing. They promised they would be able to have it rented within the month and that they would virtually stage it for me (it was during Covid). They didnt do either. Without discussing it with me, they split the condo unit, parking and locker to be separately rented and only rented the condo out but for less than what I had asked. They did not help me with the rental of the latter two, so I had to find 2 other renters and the legal paperwork myself. What did I hire them for if I had to do more than half the work and it added to my stress and already busy life? On top of that, when I called to give constructive feedback to the operations manager Kion, he was very defensive and threatened to sue me for defamation if I wrote a bad review, hence this hesitant anonymous complaint. Definitely would not recommend!

Always seemed to struggle with the concept of how people make consistent income. My parents always gave me the understanding that you have to work on it at a young age. After working for a while and making some type of income, I wanted to have a consistent one, where I don't have to worry about having to work longer hours at work to make decent income. My father has given me a house but it wasn't in the best condition and options to finance it were just home equity, conventional loans mortgage loans and other stuff that I'll be tied up to all my life. I found Royal york through a friend of mine. I had seen their ads often on CP24 but really thought it was just another company who claims to be exceptional but really isn't. It seemed like they were overpromising.. I reached out to them to discuss what the options were and they told me I could renovate my house and get it rented out for a much higher price. The renovation was huge, they were able to get it done fast and affordable (I also had no idea how to work with these things so really this was amazing news to me). I signed up through a payment plan where they keep an amount from my rental income each month. THIS IS INVESTMENT and I'm not tied up to them for life. I've been paying a couple hundred bucks a month, receiving rent regularly and they take care of maintenance issues here and there reported by the tenants. Had to share this amazing experience so you guys as having an extra income of $3000 a month and going on a payment plan without absurd extra fees and headaches is life changing.

I hired Royal York Property Management to rent out my newly renovated property. They were professional, courteous and responsive, conducting dozens of showings within the first weekend alone! Their marketing was outstanding as there was more interest than I expected. I met up with Edris, one of their agents. He is very professional and the way he spoke about the company, made me want to try them out for the renovations I needed to get done in my kitchen. They finished everything up in 2 weeks, meanwhile I was receiving offers each day. Got my place rented out right after.

I feel like their staff are my friends whenever I have a problem, always there for me?? I thought I was going to have the same problem with them too but luckily not. Very good, highly recommend.
