I thoroughly recommend James aka Mr Tree man. He made the process of very easy from start to finish. James dealt with the paperwork needed from the city and kept me informed all the way. The quote was fair and he exceeded my expectation of removing all of the tree (the trunk was so big that he advised it may not be able to fit through the gate but his men managed to cut it down to ground level). They worked diligently into the evening and left the garden in an acceptable state. Thank you James!

The April ice storm brought down a major branch from one the willows in our backyard. Jerome and crew came to our place the following morning, gave us a reasonable quote and after approval, trimmed the stump on the tree, cut up the branch and cleaned up the yard. They were courteous and efficient. Thank you

I highly recommend James and his company. He and his crew are professional, courteous and all round amazing. They spent two days taking down a humongous Manitoba Maple whose canopy covered several properties and they also reduced the height of a row of highly overgrown cedars running along my lane. This is the first review I've ever written for HomeStars. I'm not a Robot nor do I work for the company (Mr. Tree Man) I'm endorsing here. So with that out of the way, if you are considering hiring an arborist for a minor or major job, please read on. I found James Clark (aka The Tree Man) in our local paper; The Beach Metro. He returned my call the same day and set up a time to swing by my residence to assess what I would like done on my property and provide a quote for the work involved, including options I had not even considered. You should know, I have invested a lot of time, money and education in all things growing in my backyard which I consider my green oasis here in the Toronto Beaches. My initial plan was to get at least three quotes but after meeting James first, listening to the info and quote he provided I quickly realized this guy was legit, fair and the right choice for the job. The quote was more than reasonable and he answered all my concerns especially about he and his crew being insured across the board for any damages to my property or his crew. They showed up as promised on time and completed the job on budget (exactly to the price quoted) and within the time he said it would take to complete. Again, I can't stress enough about the fact that I did not have a reference for using The Tree Man, I made a cold call, a shot in the dark, but one I do not regret at all. I would recommend Mr. Tree Man in a heartbeat. You are not just getting a group of tree climbers with power tools at their ready to safely prune and/or remove limbs and/or trees at your request, you are getting an entire crew of serious arborists with a deep knowledge of all tree species present in the GTA and surrounding areas and a company that is able to explain your obligations as a home owner when it comes to the by-laws and liabilities related to tree hazards on or around your property. James and his crew were amazing, friendly and professional and if you are considering having any work done by an arborist I highly recommend you begin with a phone call to James Clark The Tree Man.

Our Mulberry tree lost two large branches; one was was hung up in adjacent trees over our fence and communication lines and the other was leaning onto the roof of our house. These major branches needed to be removed safely quickly with no damage to property or people. Mr. Tree Man was priced fairly with respect to the three quotes we received and James was both responsive and knowledgeable. They took the care to promptly fit us into their scheduled work and arrived at the time promised. Their work on site was professional and efficient. They managed the complex process of getting all the material down onto the ground in a controlled fashion and left a clean site. It is our preference to support local businesses where we can, and with the level of service we received from Mr Tree Man we can, without reservation, recommend them to others.

Very efficient and professional tree service. I requested a quote and had a meeting set up the very next day. Within a week, we had our tree service all taken care of. Now our front and backyards have much more sunlight!

James and his team were absolutely amazing. I met him at the house, he took a look around and told me what needed to be done and the cost. A week later his team came and cut the trees, relived them into a chipper, filled in a hole with soul along the sidewalk, cleaned up and left. Efficient! Polite! Spoke to the neighbours! I would highly recommmed The Tree Man!

The job was reasonably priced and was done with care in a timely fashion. I would recommend them.

James was fantastic. He quoted within an hour, was at my house a few hours later and due to the emergency status of the tree- he was back within the week to take care of everything. We highly recommend James to anyone and everyone. Very professional and great to work with.
