Three highly rated HomeStars pros came to my home to prepare their quotes to install a backwater valve (to prevent storm surge in my basement). Vasyl from DryMax was the only one who spent the time to investigate thoroughly with a scope and gave me good options and explanations. The other 2 contractors weren’t even in the right vicinity for the installation. He also showed me an issue with a 60-year old sanitary stack that was a disaster waiting to happen. Coincidentally, we had 2 persistent leaks in the basement that worsened in spring. A friend of a friend does the same kind of work in another town, so he checked the prices and scope of work for the BWV, a sump pump, and waterproofing. He said it all looked great. DryMax’s 2-man crew worked efficiently and took all precautions to protect my neighbour’s property. Vasyl was here regularly to check up and give direction. He also coordinated with the building inspector and gave me links for the city rebate program.

I think we had 8 to 10 companies come by to quote this project and it was clear after meeting with them all that Vasyl had the most comprehensive vision of the project and honestly just seem like the most trust worthy. His price was somewhere in the middle but he took time to explain things they would do and why they were doing them. When it came time for the work they were quick and incredibly clean, I did not even need to wear shoes in the space when I came down in the evenings to check the progress they had done such a good job keeping things clean. Someone from our insurance companies contractor came by to look at the repairs they will need to do in the basement and they were very impressed by the work Drymax had done. I would definitely recommend them

We had many questions, and Vasyl took the time to answer each one thoroughly and assist us in every way possible. They worked diligently to ensure our waterproofing was done to a high standard, keeping us updated with photos and explaining their process clearly. They even took the extra step of putting our tiles back exactly as they were. Despite not being landscaping experts, they did an excellent job. Vasyl also went above and beyond by resolving our neighbour's issues, even though it wasn't his fault. It was because he has integrity. Discovered water in my dads basement. Contacted Vasyl as he did the repairs at my home a few years ago and I was very satisfied. I opened the home to them and let them do their thing. They waterproofed the block and added an interior weeping tile and sump pump. Once again they were efficient and precise. Left the work area spotless and treated the home with utmost respect and detail. These guys are amazing. They will not disappoint. From clarityinh the scope of work right down to completion they are 100% professional and detailed.

The catch basin we had was not draining on a rental property, so Vasyl cleared it out and after scoping the issue, he found the drain line near the basin had collapsed. He worked with me to provided a reasonable, workable budget to replace the catch basin and connect it to the rest of drain that was free and clear. I am very appreciative for his honesty, cost savings methods and reliability, I plan to use him in future for installing backup sump pumps etc.
